About Me

I'm a 28 yo female from India. I've been obese all my life (from my early teens). But the past three years I started accumulating weight at an alarming pace. I have tried a few things for weight loss like diet control and meal replacements. But I was never good in physical activities. Never been a regular to any gym -- I join a gym and after two months I just stop going.

Things became pretty bad -- my asthma was troubling me but I started giving it as a reason for not working out. And my blood sugar shot up quite a bit and my doctor said I had better lose my weight or I'll be diabetic in 5 or so years. I panicked. My family has a history of diabetes both on my mom's and dad's side and I didnt want to risk it.

I told myself: if I was true to myself I KNOW that I'm not going to strictly follow any diet or workout plan. So I started researching Weight Loss Surgeries. I was thinking about Gastric Bypass Vs Vertical Sleeve. Then I hit jackpot and found this forum.

The people here have been so encouraging and inspirational -- they gave me the strength to go through with VSG. I hope that I give the same inspiration and courage for others too.

I'm hoping that my journey is peaceful without much complications and that I reach my goals and lead a happy life.
