  1. Hi all, can anyone recommend a gummy vitamin that has iron in it? As well as all the vitamins you would find in a multi vitamin. Currently I take vita fusion , it has 200% vitamin d which I need, but no iron or zinc. I was told my zinc was a little low in my pre op bloodwork. I'm trying to find that all in one! Thanks
  2. Omg no. I was told the same thing that I wouldn't be completely asleep. But I've had 3 done and font remember a single thing much less feel anything. So sorry at least it's over!
  3. Once you start on solids, usually around the 5 week mark, You should be trying your best to get your protein from food, not shakes. My surgeon was very persistent with this and I'm so glad he was. As long ad you can tolerate chicken, Tina, fish etc I say go for it and only have a shake if needed. It really helps with getting your sleeve used to more and different foods as well.
  4. Yes!!!! Overjoyed!!! I started at a miserable 399 lbs and now I'm a super happy 285 lbs! Even though I still have a good 90 lbs to goal I am so happy and so confident! I look good and I feel great. People have noticed my happier appearance and I'm happy to show it now.
  5. I tell everyone who notices my weight loss and asks 'how did u do it'? I am not ashamed and won't lie. Everyone I've told have been super supportive and so happy for me. I actually love talking about it.
  6. Watermelon is easy to eat, but it's sugar content is high. Trying to stay away from the higher sugar fruit
  7. My doc said to stay away from fruits with high glycemic index, like watermelon. Try to stay low with the sugars. There's all kinds of charts online to see which ones are high/low.
  8. Really? Wow.
  9. I had the same amount to lose and had the exact same thought! I started at 399 last August. Today I am 285!!! That's 114 freakin pounds!! Now I'm totally going for the gold! Congrats to you!
  10. No that's not enough. Try your hardest to sip literally thru out the day. Keep a water bottle or whatever liquid you like, crystal light etc and sip sip sip. You will get dehydrated faster than you think. You don't need to gulp water down. But just sip slowly but often. If you start to feel very tired or dizzy/ light headed that's a sure sign of dehydration. Better to avoid that. Good luck!
  11. Oh boy that's a tough diet phase. All surgeons are different. It's amazing how their diet plans vary so much from others. But my best advice is stock to it!! It's only a short time even though it feels like forever. You can do it.
  12. Yay I loved your story!! Short fat Italian girl from long island here. How did your surgery go? Feeling ok? Sounds like everything went well. I had my surgery on April 9 and am down 60 pounds post op, but 115 in total since I started last August. Good luck to you and you will be so happy you did this once you're able to eat 'normal' again.
  13. So sorry! No that's not dumping. That's just the 'I ate wayyyyy too much feeling' Dumping is out the other end! Lol sleevers don't USUALLY have that but it yes it happens. Now that you know that feeling of really over doing it, I'm sue you won't do it again. Lol. We all have learned from those mistakes.
  14. Yes it made EVERYTHING WORTH IT!!!!! I'm loving every bit of it. Most of all my confidence!!
  15. Yea baby!!!! You look fantastic!!!! Keep up the awesome work!
  16. Yuck!! Those are just nasty! I switched to gummies. Way better. But if u really want to take te chewables, don't eat them together. Do one in AM and one PM. That helped me but then I just stopped cuz they were so gross.
  17. Hormones! I went thru it. In 3 months out and the month 2 I was so grouchy all the time! And everything was great in my life. I had hoped it wouldn't last and it didn't. Im fine now our bodies go thru so much and the hormones are so out of whack. Give it time.
  18. Well from august till this April, I lost 60 lbs on my own. My surgery was April 9 and I've lost 56 post op. I havent been in too many stalls. My weight seems to steady at about 2-3 lbs per week on average.
  19. I am just thoroughly enjoying my confidence now. I'm enjoying the attention. I'm enjoying the compliments. I'm enjoying the looks while I'm driving from the guys. Today I was told that I had 'dreamy' eyes by a guy. I'm happily married. But this is a nice change to barely even being noticed before. I walk with my head up now instead of looking at the floor. What a difference. Love love love where this is going. 111 lbs down since august 2011. Another 90 to go!
