They did mine still laproscopic even though there were 2 hernias because they only repaired the hiatal hernia. The umbilical will be repaired when I have the skin removal. Thanks for the kind words.

Been home for about 3 hours and pretty sore I found out I had 2 hernias one around my diaphragm and one umbilical. awesome spirits and happy to have it done and over. I don't think I could have done this without my awesome wife's support.

Well my day has come. My banding is less than 10 hours away. Very excited. Well wishes to all the other 3/1 banders out there.

OK my wife and I talked last night and this morning. She is excited for me,But I have been so fixated on the surgery I have been ignoring her. I would never intentionally do that. I also know she feels left behind. I know my job is to reassure her that she is not and will be left behind. Thanks for all the helpful insight.

Is any one else having an issue whith their spouse although being 100% supportive the jealous issue is ruining it for touting the point of calling it off.

After waiting a month CIGNA contacts the surgeons office and I needed a physical. the same day I had my physical my pcp faxed it and had my approval that afternoon

Nothing to be scared of on the liquid diet. I worried about it and it really isn't too bad. are you going to go to the support group at Malleys?

Good luck on your journey! I myself have done the Weight Watcher's with my wife. I can loose but need help with maintaining that loss. I started my pre-op diet on the 16th and also had my last doughnut on Wednesday, I think it might me natural. My surgery date is March 1

March 1 surgery date and started my pre - op diet on the 16th 4 Protein shakes a day not to bad so far. It is a wonderful birthday present to myself on March 9. I am also fortunate to have a wonderful support system at home ( my awesome wife)
