Off to Mackinaw City for the night and then up to Houghton for the weekend. the Bobster is preaching up there Sunday and i'm going along for the ride. it's 2 hours to Mackinaw and 5 hours to Houghton after that, so we're breaking it up into two sections. I'll have my laptop with me so will check in tonight. Everyone have a good evening. Be good to yourself and Laura, give Carson some extra lovin' from Auntie Gramma Judy.

We have a new Violet baby!!! 7.5#, 19 inches 7:51 by c-section. NOW I can go to bed!!

Good evening, Violets.. Busy day today. Ethan came at 8 and we went to Aunt Krissy's at 11 to spend the afternoon with her and Grady. We had a good time. Grady was pretty good for Gramma.. We came home about 3:30 and then Bob and I had dinner and went to Home Depot to pick up an electric lawn mower. I'm tired of having to get the gas powered one repaired every year and I'm tired of gas cans all over. I went trikking tonight for 40 minutes and am having such a good time with it. It was a darn good investment for me. I get lots of compliments on the bike when I'm out and about. I'm anxiously awaiting word on Carson and Laura. I hope things are going well with her. I too think that the time flew by. I remember when she was saying she wanted a baby and then whooooosh.. here we are waiting for the big news of his arrival. Off to watch some tv and connect with classmates on Facebook. Everyone have a great evening..

Good afternoon, Violets.. Just back from 5 miles on the Terratrike. I ordered a headrest, rear view mirror and flag and then I'll really be in business. It was only 46 degrees out with wind so my face is windburned and my toes are frozen, but it was a wonderful workout. I'm lovin' my bike!! Off to Facebook to see what my classmates are saying and then out to dinner before rehearsal. BBL..

PMS = Pastor's Main Squeeze It's a group of pastor's spouses that get together once a month for lunch. It's usually just ladies, but we do have one couple who are both pastors so sometimes we even get a lone male attendee. We discuss everything from trips to Hawaii to church finances ("we can't get the shower fixed in the parsonage cause there's no money in the budget for it", that kind of stuff). I'm so glad I live in my own house!

Good morning, Violets.. I'm up and getting ready to head to my volunteer shift at the hospital and then to my PMS luncheon. After that I hope to get on the terratrike for a bit. Looks cloudy out, but it's 38 degrees and hopefully will get up towards 50 today. PamELa.. we're all so proud of you. You're going to have two angels on your shoulders and a gaggle of Violets behind you when you defend your dissertation tomorrow. I'm going to be tied up with a flute rehearsal and a church service at noon, but Tracy is great at getting news out so she's a good choice for the job of messenger, or texter. Terry.... step back from the chocolate today, or at least substitute something a bit healthier, like a South Beach S'mores Fiber bar. Or a Weight Watchers candy. Kat.. hope you're feeling better today. Ya know, I wasn't too keen on the name Grady, but the more I'm with the little guy, he definitely is Grady. I'll post pictures from Sunday later today. Haydee must be off somewhere again or having computer problems. It seems to me I remember her having a few trips planned. Off to have some breakfast and be on my way. Good morning, Violets.. We had a nice afternoon with Grady and his mom and dad and other grandparents. I did very well on the meal, but did indulge in sugar during the day. But I certainly didn't overdo like in years past. I'm heading out on my terratrike this afternoon for a long ride and will do some housecleaning today. Ethan isn't here today or tomorrow so I finally get time to do what I want to do when I want to do it. I love him dearly, but he was here every single day last week plus Saturday and he wore Gramma and Grampa out. I'm making ham and cheese soup for supper today and the roast with pepperoncini tomorrow night. I want to see what all the raves are about! lol Everyone have a great day.. TracyK.. LOVED the pictures of Macy.. she is the spittin' image of her mom.. just like a mini-Tracy. And the pictures of Gruene were great!! I see by looking at them that I have lost weight since them, but know I still have a ways to go yet. Suzie, I'm with you.. by June 24th I want to be at goal and it all starts (again) today!! Nope.. never have heard it before. Our organist plays it on the keyboard for our Gospel Sunday service at the end of the choir season so I know the melody, but had never heard the words. Bob is going to take a flip video of it tomorrow so if it turns out I'll post it somehow. Off to bed early tonight for a long day tomorrow. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well!

Good evening, Violets.. Had a nice day today. Ethan was here until noon and then Bob and I went out and got stuff to make an Easter basket for Grady. I got a baseball basket (Grady's daddy used to pitch all through High school) lined it with nursing shields (for mommy, of course.. lol) added a little purple stuffed bunny (his mom's favorite color) and some onsies and then added all of his mommy and daddy's favorite candies. I came home and finally got to ride the terratrike and I didn't want to stop! I went for 45 minutes and would have gone farther, but Bob called and was worried since I said I'd be gone for just a few minutes. It is so much fun and I can't wait to get on again and ride around town. I got lots of comments about the bike. It really is unique. Tonight we are going to church to walk the labyrinth and then come home and relax. I have a busy day tomorrow. I am directing the choir, lay reader, helper with communion and singing a solo during the offering. It's a song I had not heard before, but the organist picked it out and I just love it. I certainly don't sing it as well as this guy, but I do ok.. lol Off to finish some laundry before heading to church. BBL.........

Good Morning, Violets.. TracyK.. GREAT JOB on the weight loss!! It's amazing how well we can do when our HEAD is in the game! The band is trying it's hardest, but we have to be the ones to do the real work. Ethan is here for a few hours and then I'm going to do some house cleaning and laundry. And HOPEFULLY get out on my terratrike. It's only 31 degrees out right now and I'm hoping it warms up, but it's not looking good. Kat.. I have the same problem on Palm Sunday with the palms except it's my back row of guys in the choir that I have to watch out for. They do all sorts of strange things with the palms while they are waiting in the back of the church to process. And that reminds me that there were palms on the floor of the church last night that you had to walk on to get to the cross. Very meaningful. I got an Easter basket made last night for Ethan and his two step brothers. Now to get something together for Grady. That will be my fun thing to do this afternoon. I'm still in my pjs and need to go shower and get dressed. Everyone have a great day and be good to yourself.

Detroit Tigers won 15-2!!! Go Tigers!!! We're back from a seafood buffet.. I had 3 boil and peel shrimp, 1/3 crabcake, 1/4 cup lobster cabonera and 1 frog leg. I showed them my card and they only charged me for a kid's buffet. We went to a Veiling of the Cross service at the Presbyterian church tonight. I love that service. It is so moving. We each get a rock and a nail and during the service we come up and place our rock (our burdens) at the foot of a small wooden cross, then later we come up and hammer a nail into that cross and after that we come up and throw some dice and rip cloth to symbolize casting lots for Jesus's clothes. The whole service is very subdued and no minister is up front... he stays in the back and you only hear his voice. There were only 20 at the service. NOW I feel like the Easter season has started. Everyone have a good evening. I'm going to watch the Pistons whomp the Nets and then head to bed. Ethan comes tomorrow morning at 8:30 for a couple of hours. Gramma and Grampa are getting worn out!!

GOOD MORNING, VIOLETS!!!!:biggrin: Today is my 2 year Bandiversary and though I am not at goal, I take pride in the fact that this is the most amount of weight I have ever lost and kept off for the longest time. Just like you, Tracy!!! Without the band I know I'd be wallowing back at my original weight if not more, feeling very sorry for myself and very depressed. I feel great this morning. I'm going to redo my ticker and even though it's up, I'm not upset because this is day one once again and this time day one is starting from a much better number than the original day one. Off to Good Friday services. Everyone have a good day and be good to yourself.
