Good morning, Violets.. Leaving for home in a little bit. Feeling like SHIT... yes, I said it. I went to the wedding and a get together at BIL's house afterwards, but chose not to go to the reception. I slept from 6 last night to this morning and still feel awful. Nose it plugged and coughing. Should be just a peachy keen 8 hour ride home. Hoping for more sleep. I'm really worried because I have a singing concert in one week and I have several solos... arghhhhhhhhhh I'm going to be pampering and medicating myself all week in hopes I beat this thing in time.

Good afternoon, Violets.. I'm still in the midst of cleaning the house. Joe and family are in Minnesota. They should be home early tomorrow!! I talked with Kris today and she's wearing a purple blouse and black capris to the wedding, soooooo rather than be mom and daughter twins, I decided to wear my black jumper with a white blouse. I got a new pair of black shoes.. $60 shoes on sale for $11 at Penney's. Can't beat that! They are darn cute too, a sandal style with just a little heel,so I don't have to worry about nylons. It's going to be 78 degrees the day of the wedding.. Now I know that is downright chillly for you PamELa, but for us, that's really warm for this time of year. Indian summer is what we call it. I have the windows open today and the fresh air smells so good. I have some laundry to finish, floors to scrub, nail polish to put on and then wait for Bob to come home from golfing so we can go out to dinner tonight. Hope your computer is ok, Janie... We are taking our laptop so I can stay in touch while we are out of town.

Good morning, Violets.. Today is cleaning day. We leave for a wedding tomorrow morning and won't be back until Sunday night. I need the house clean for Joe's arrival so Bob and I will be doing that today. Looks kinda dreary out, but it's still early. 46 degrees right now with a high of 68 today. Sheeesh... I could get in the pool if it had water in it!!! Oh well. Indian summer has arrived. Off to get some tuna/soy nuts/raisins for breakfast. Everyone make it a good day!

Good afternoon, Violets.. Pretty day out today. It's 63 degrees and bright sunshine. I had a church staff meeting this morning and then a nice phone call from a friend in Alabama and now I'm headed to K-mart to take some things back before I go to my flute rehearsal and then choir rehearsal. Whew... that was a long sentence! Joe and crew are 8 hours closer to us right now. They left at 2 a.m. and will be stopping in Minnesota, I believe. I was just looking at videos of Ethan on my Facebook page. Seems like he's been gone forever. They left their dog at a sheltered home there. Tough to do, but it will make it so much easier for them to find a place to rent here. Most places don't take pets. Just got a text from them and they are at Mt. Rushmore. Off to do some errands before rehearsals. Everyone have a good day!

Actually, I'm going to wear the purple sweater I bought in Palm Desert at the "Nothing over $9.99 shop!" That and black pants will do it for me.

Actually, the wedding will be in Dyer, Indiana, but we are visiting my BIL and he lives in Cedar Lake, Indiana, just outside of Chicago.

Good morning, Violets.. Up early today to get ready to go to the dentist for my teeth cleaning. Unfortunately with my knee replacement I now have to take antibiotics before I have it done. I used to have to take them for my heart problem, but then docs decided that wasn't necessary. So now I'm back to having to take 4 pills an hour before the appointment. That plus the extra time at airport security are the two new joys of having a new knee. But... the knee is working fine and I'm not complaining....... much. After the dentist I don't have anything on the agenda except for singing rehearsal tonight. We are 10 degrees warmer this morning than yesterday with a scorching 37 degrees! No ice to melt off the windshield today. Joe and family are packing up and will be starting back tomorrow. They should be here by Friday, but we are leaving early Friday morning to go to a wedding in Chicago so I won't see them until we get back on Sunday evening. Can't wait for an Ethan hug!! Hope he remembers me! Off to have some tuna for breakfast and then get ready to slug down 4 pills. Everyone make it a great day!!

Good evening, Violets.. Had a good day today. Did my hospital shift, went with Bob to his dr. appt. , took a little nap and then babysat Grady for a couple of hours. He's so darn cute!! He kept grabbing my fingers to lead me to the door so we could go outside. We're watching an episode of Bones on Netflix..almost done with season 3 now. Hot tubbing tonight. It was 29 degrees this morning... ice on the windshield and frost on the ground. brrrrrrrrrr.. (((Janie))) Everyone have a good evening! Sleep well.

Good morning, Violets.. Michelle.. your post does not help me!! Today is my "back to being a bandster" day. I've gained 9# since the unfill and need to get my head back in the game. The Bobster and I were going to do liquids only for a couple of days, but that's not going to happen, so we are just going to follow the rules... portion control, no junk food... all the things that worked before and will again. You all know the story by heart, right!!?? Now that the knee is much better, there is no excuse to feel sorry for myself and allow myself to have whatever I want to eat. Today is hospital shift, then taking the dogs to the groomer and then Grady comes over tonight while Kris goes to Zumba. Joe and family are planning on heading back here this week and should be here before the weekend. It's a happy/sad thing. I wanted them to do well out there, but will be glad to have them home again. Off to have some tuna/soy nuts/raisins for breakfast. Back to the routine!! Everyone make it a great day..

Good morning, Violets.. Nope, no stinging knee, Janie. We were in the hot tub last night and the knee got bent, but it felt fine, thank goodness. Haven't had any percocet in 2 days now. I'm up early to get dressed for church. I have a solo to sing this morning. Then I have a singing rehearsal from 4-6 this afternoon, then headed to our annual Peace concert during which I have a solo, am singing two pieces with our New Day Singers group and 2 pieces with our Wind Song flute quartet. After that, I'm going to hit the hot tub, get my nammies on and watch Desperate Housewives!! Everyone have a great day!

Good morning, Violets.. Had a strange night. I went in the hot tub and did my stretching and bending without the Bobster this time. When I got out, about 15 minutes later the knee started to sting really bad. Never had a stinging pain before. I had to take 2 percocets and was worried that I had torn something. But it's fine this morning, thank goodness. I got a good night's sleep and the knee is bending normally with no pain ... whew. We are going to an apple orchard this morning with Kris, Grady and a couple of his little friends. Should be fun! They have lots of stuff for the little ones to do while the bobster and I will be sampling the gooey, apple goodies. Everyone have a great day!!

Good evening, Violets.. Can it be??? A week ago at this time I was in California??? Time sure does fly, doesn't it?? I have the meat loaf and scalloped potatoes in the oven and the cabbage on the stove. Things are starting to smell really good in here!! Flute rehearsal is done and now just waiting on Project Runway. Hope everyone has a good evening!!
