I absolutely LOVE cruising and would do that in a heartbeat. Most of the 3 or 4 days cruises begin on a Monday though, I believe. And I'll go ANYWHERE Clay Aiken is!! Have we thought of North Carolina?? :pray2:

Just a suggestion to throw out. We have a little jewel here in Northern Michigan. It's called Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island. Mackinaw City Vacations, Lodging, Hotels, Accommodations and Attractions - Mackinac Area http://www.mackinacisland.org/ Mackinac Island is where the movie Somewhere in Time was filmed. Mackinaw City has LOTS of shopping, a fort and a ferry service to Mackinac Island. There is a casino across the Mackinaw Bridge as well. There is an airport in Alpena and we could use my vehicles to get us to Mackinaw City 90 miles from me. It would be an 8 hour drive for Jennifer. Don't know about flight costs for others, but it's an idea.

Our first son was going to be named Justin and our daughter was going to be Amanda Lyn. Nice names, but remember, my last name is Case. Needless to say Joshua and Kristin have thanked me for rethinking it.

Good Morning, Violets. Cloudy and dreary out today in Florida. But it's better than the snow and freezing temps in Michigan right now. I have kept a journal since the day of surgery. I write in what I eat, whether I took my vitamin, how much water I have during the day and what the weather is like and any diary type things I want to write. I know it's been 40 weeks and one day since my surgery and I can go back and read how I have felt every single day since surgery. I've never kept a journal/diary this long in my life. Don't know how much longer I'll do it, but it's really interesting already to go back and read it from the start. I'm on my second journal book and probably will go through a few more before I'm done. Time to take a shower, have breakfast and get ready for the day. Everyone make it a good one!!

I vote for Splash Mountain!!! Just finished watching the debates and tomorrow the Bobster's brother is coming over to visit. Weather in Florida is in the upper 50's, but dang it, it was not going to stop me from getting in the pool. I shivered my way into the pool this evening and did my exercises and then ran to the hot tub and did more in there. Supposed to warm up a little tomorrow so hope to be in the pool during the day. Today we did the outlet malls and I got another bathing suit. Still a size 20,but at least it fits and I feel comfortable in it. Everything else I wear a size 16.. go figger!!! Have made a good eating choices and 2 liters of water a day. Hitting the sheets now. Everyone have a good evening!! Did I mention I vote for Splash Moutain?????

Because of the distance, we don't make it to the support group meetings, but I started a group here in Alpena. Last Saturday we had 14 people show up! It's only our 4th meeting so we're still getting to know each other, but soon we hope to have speakers in like in Port Huron. I hope to make it to the Christmas party next year. I heard it was really fun. There are 7 in our support group from Alpena that went to Port Huron for their surgery. All are extremely pleased. And your 28# is awesome. He'll be very, very pleased. And yes, Tammy and Sue and all the staff there are wonderful. They have all been just the best to have as a support system too.

Good Afternoon, Violets... We made it to Tampa and now are enjoying the sun and fun. Well, I'm on the computer of course, but will get out there as soon as I finish this message. Laurie, my friend is subbing today so won't be here until about 5 p.m. I'm anxious to see her. She's lost well over 100# with the RNY. She has a bag of clothes for me that are 10's and 12's. No way I can get into them yet. I'm wondering if they are too small for her. If they are, I'm gonna be way jealous!! We're going out to dinner tonight, so that should be interesting. Bobster and I split an omelette this morning at the airport and left most of it on the plate. Chili and bean salad for lunch here that Laurie fixed. I had a cup of that. Now waiting for my Crystal Light to freeze. I can drink that in an hour. I better get off here and visit with the Bobster and Bob, our host before I hit the pool. Everyone have a great day and I'll check in tonight after my swim and hot tub. It's soooooooooo beautiful here!!!

Good afternoon, Violets. Ok, we're JUST about ready to leave for florida. The Bobster had an emergency counseling session after church so we are getting a late start, but we'll make it. I too don't want the $68 tour of Graceland, but either of the other two prices would be fine. Do we have everyone rooming with someone now?? We really have to get our heads together and see if there is any way we can get Jen to this shindig. Train was suggested, but it's a 2 day trip.:smile: Anyone else have any ideas???????? Hey there. I was banded by Dr. Bhesania in April of 07. DH was banded in May. We drive 4 hours for our fills. And we wouldn't have it any other way. Bhesania and the Port Huron lapband clinic are awesome!!

Good Morning, Violets.. We are headed to Florida today after church. 5 hour drive to the airport, spend the night at a park and fly motel and then we fly out tomorrow morning. we'll be back late Saturday evening. I will have access to my friend's computer so hope to keep in touch. Here's the rules... don't talk too much while I'm gone. No fighting while I'm gone and no major decisions while I'm gone!!!! Everyone have a great week!! and remember to follow those bandster rules. I stayed the same weightwise this week but I'll be stepping up the exercise with lots of swimming and walking in Florida. Will try to check in after church before we head out. TTFN!!

I'm fine with it. Already looked at flight ticket prices. the Bobster and the guys are still going to do their trip to Gettysburg. They'll just drop me off at the airport on their way and hopefully pick me up on their way back. And I'll get to meet Jane before any of you.. nah nah nah nah nah nah!!!

Anybody heard from TracyinKS lately?? Or did I miss a post saying she was gone for a few days????

Jane.. if I flew into St. Louis, could I ride the rest of the way with you?? I can fly out of a closer airport to me that way. (only 3 hours instead of 5). Do you have a couch I could crash on if I came in on the 15th?? and would there be a problem getting me to the airport on the 19th or maybe the 20th?? If any of that isn't feasible, just be honest and tell me, k? I looked to see if Jen could drive to St. Louis, but that's 16 hours for her.:smile: I do so want her to be able to join us. She was sooooo looking forward to meeting us all... just like the rest of us.

Laura.. how do we get there??? What airport do we fly into and how far is the airport from the resort?? I'm game to go anywhere, just feel bad Jen can't go and I won't even go into my DSIL's disappointment, but he'll survive..

I bought a recumbent bike, glider and elliptical machine. Our guest room is now a home gym! Plus I go to Curves too.
