  1. Hi all, i was banded on Feb 4th and initially lost 15lbs, then another 6lbs after my first fill. I managed to gain the six back as i can eat what i like. I know a lot of people disagree that the pill makes you gain weight, i suppose because this is true, but it makes me extremely hungry and crave food and chocolate. I gave in and have been out of control for over a week I've come off it now and resorted to non hormonal contraceptive and i plan to start from fresh right now! I have a ten cc band and had 4cc put in during surgery and 1cc in on my last fill. My next fill is 20th April, is there still hope for me? I feel such a failure. Has anyone else had a rocky start but gone on to be successful?
  2. Like they don't want to feel restriction?? I'll take theirs! Ah i know it won't last and will need another fill-when would that usually be roughly?- Yeah it's 5cc in total, was getting really scared that i had 4 in and felt nothing!
  3. Thanks all! I started this journey with positivity running through my veins and took in all the warnings that it takes time and is only a tool etc and gave myself two years to lose the weight even though lots of people have done it in less than one. Even with all that and the knowledge that it takes time, i really got disheartened. I then stopped being so careful, exercise got left "for tomorrow" and i began remembering all the band failed me stories i had read. Im back to my old self now, Im aware that it's only a tool and i need to work it and make good decisions and ignore head hunger. Im just so so glad i can feel it there
  4. Hi all i haven't posted much here because i was feeling like band failure. I only had my op on Feb 4th and had 4cc put in my 10cc band during the op. I lost 15lbs including my seven day milk diet but regained 2 back in the last few weeks, i was able to eat anything really but tried to be careful. I had my first fill of 1cc on Friday so am now on soft foods but all day I've been sipping cold water all day and can actually feel it passing through my band. Im so happy, i actually know i have a band now ha and haven't really been hungry since. Small amounts fill me up for a long while. I just wanted to say Yippie and hello to you all!
  5. Oh Karen Im nervous now i was only banded on Saturday and my provider called me today and slid slim fast was fine, basically anything that you can drink through a straw. Do you think slim fast is too thick for this stage? It's only about the same consistency of milk?x
  6. Are you not allowed to have slim fast? Im finding that great and a cup is a third of your daily nutrients etc. It's mad how each surgeon etc can vary so much!
  7. My tummy is a really weird shape, like the gas has bloated it out but in a weird shape if that makes sense! How long are you guys on your liquid stage for? I've to stay on liquids for 2weeks which Im glad about as Im nervous about eating!
  8. Thanks so much for the reply! It's funny cos today Im finding anything tough! The wonders of the band, I love it!
  9. Hi, i had my band fitted yesterday and I got home this morning, so far I've had : B- Almost a full actimel (small very watery yogurt drink) and half a glass of fresh fruit juice-no bits. L- 3/4 of a cup of watery tomato Soup and an actimel. Just about to have a small cup of watery chicken soup. Does this sound too much? What did you have on the liquid stage? How much? Thank you!
  10. Hi all! Im so happy to finally be on here! Im having my op this Saturday Eek! Im a 24year old mother to a beautiful little seven month old girl who makes me so so happy I could cry. Im currently 275lbs and I want to have the energy to run and play with her as she grows up and not be riddled with insecurities, I don't want her to see me on every faddy diet going losing weight and gaining even more. I adore clothes, I love them and I want to enjoy them not fear them! So I thought I would say hi to everyone as I plan on spending a lot of time around here
