my first doctor that did the surgery charges $400 per fill and unfill. and as all you know you will require several fills before you finally reach restrictions. So i finally decieded to look for a new doctor. My new doctor charges $150 and if i need an unfill within the same month its free....

just had a fill yesterday. i now have 6cc in a 14cc band. awesome restrictions.. banded 12/14/2009 6cc in 14cc band

i was told to be on liquid that entire day of my fill and continue on liquids the next day. start on muchy foods the third day. MY doctor has mention that if i can stay on liquids long to go for it... that i would lose weight faster??? banded 12/14/2009 6cc in 14cc band

i do well with spicy good too. im bad i sometime eat hot sauce and hot salsa with chips and my food. and i do well.. But i never eat hot sauce late after 6pm cause then i do notice the heartburn and at night when you sleep it can cuome up>>>>> that hurts and burns... if you do eat hot spicy food with hot sauce do it early at 2pm.. banded 12/14/2009 at 6cc in 14cc band..

Im keeping all my liquids down. i feel the tightness. i hope i feel better tomorrow??

Just had a fills with my new doctor! awesome! im at 6cc now... and feeling where i wanna be.. i have restrictions now.

Marianna, i have had two doctors, my first doctor would take out the Fluid everytime i would get a fill and it felt gross! the following day i would be too tight and not able to keep anything down. I would end up back and he would take out fluid. I could not get past 3.5 cc. which turned out to be costly each visit since i paid cash for my band. it was also drive to see him to, add to the issue! i finally gave up and started looking for a new doctor. i was able to find a new doctor in the same building i work in. My first fill with my new doctor: he added 1.5cc which pushed me up to 4.5. I did well and did not get sick and had more restrictions. But one thing i did notice was that this doctor did not take out ALL the fluid out. He only took out a little to make sure he was in the port... i did not feel sick!!! and since then i have had 2 more fills. i am Feeling more restrictions and now at 5.2cc. im schedule for another fill tomorrow. See how it goes!!! :wub:

I have had a few bad experiences after and before fills??? but i didnt know no better till i asked the doctor why is it the day of the fill im able to eat anything with no rectrictions and the next day i feel so awful that i cant even swallow!!! that use to be more! lol.... yes he chewed me out!!! but no one ever told me i said to him. SO now i stay on liquids that day and a day after and then on the 3rd day i start on mushies.. and so forth. i get another fill on Tuesday 3/13/12

I use to see this other doctor and he would take out all the fluid, put it all back in and add a few in and i would never be able to get past 3.5cc (diffrent technique),,, now i have switched to a new doctor as of last month and every two week he has been adding fluid in> im now at 5.2cc.. This doctor has a diffrent technique. and im on liquids for 2 days. i have heard some horror stories about the nurses doing the fills.... i have always had my doctor do them... and have had not painful experiences... just me nervous...

5.2cc right now i get another fill next week tuesday.

Be patient you still have about 2 to 3 more fills before you start to really feel the restrictions. What is diffrent is that i have never had a nurse do fills on me i have always had a doctor do the fills. But be patient you will soon feel restrictions. it took me about my third fill to feel restriction which was about 2 to 3 months. Right now your body is still adjusting to this band around the stomach and is still healing. Band 12/14/2009 current have: 5.2cc in my band. last fill 2/22/12 added 1.2cc (new doctor/Dr. Lublin:second visit with him)

Hi, I was having trouble with my doctor which I love so much cause he is so sweet and patient but he is too far from my new job and home that I've bEen missing work so much because he puts in too much and then a week later has to takes out Fluid cause i cant keep nothing down, it became so fuSturating. I couldn't get past 3.5cc with him. Finally I gave up and stop going to him for 4months (stayed at no restrictions and gain 30pounds) i then return back to see him in jan.2012 and Again the same issue occured. every visit there is a fee that i paying each time!!! Well to the long story short! Lol.... I started looking for a new doctor in the same medical building I work in. Finally I found one!!!! He seen me during lunch time! No wait, in and out quick!!!! And I'm back to work in 15min. So far I have had 2fills with my new Doctor and I'm am now at 5.2cc. In my band which I have never been at... I notice this doctor has a very diffrent technique, that is working great for me. My last doctor really didn't keep record of how much was in my band and would take out alll the fluid out which felt very yucky inside my stomach and the next day I would not be able to keep nothing down (Protein drinks:or water> i would fast for 2-7 days till i would see him to remove the fluid). My new doctor has all the information in the computer and knows exactly how much he put in and tells you. He takes out a little bit of fluid; just to make sure that he is in your port, then adds and tell you your new amount. I am very happy with this new doctor. Feeling restrictions now at 5.2 cc... I mention the doctor technique because for a long time I thought it was me and my band and no it was the doctor. They make money having u come back and forth and paying $380 each visit and you get no where.

Congrad!!!!! Just give it *...* and it will gradually come off. There will be times when you Fall off the Bandwagon!! And you tta jus get yourself back up. Good Luck!!!!! Hospitalized 10/2011 : Fluid taken all out. 2/2/12: 162lbs fill 2.5cc added total in band now l 4.5cc Now gotta get back on the Bandwagon and start losing again!!!
