  1. loved your reply, thank you Crumer...new to this site and wasn't sure how to send a noted back......Could you clue me in?
  2. I hope to get banded, waiting for Medicare to say okay I would love to hear from people in their 70's to see how they are doing. I so wish I had done this a long time ago......Loutenia
  3. Your posting made me sad. You are so young and have so much to look forward to. I haven't been banded yet and worried I will get turned down because of my age, 73. So wish I had done this a long time ago. Even if I live for only 3 more years thats okay, I don't want all these pounds to slow me down. Probably in your late 30s you will develop lots of obesity related health problems. If you are a prayful person please pray about it. Being put out is so simple, I know you will be anxious but just tell the nurse and she could hurry and put you out. Good luck, I pray alot and will keep you in my prayers.....Loutenia
  4. I appreciate your reply. I need knee replacement surgery....I told the dr. I would like to do the lap band because it would be easier to recuperate after...he thought it a good idea......
  5. I am really enjoying this site. I have attended a seminar and just waiting for a phone call, so excited to get going. I feel concern that I might get turned down because of my age.....73. Wish I had done this years ago. Medicare will cover lap banding I know but I would love to hear from others in this age category.
  6. How wonderful...happy for you...could you tell me how to put the graph on the bottom of profile page....can't figure it out Hope everything goes perfectly. I am waiting for a phone call to get going, anxious to get going. I love this site, it has answered many questions I have had. Thinking of you....Loutenia (my name is Vicki really, already taken so used my Moms name)
  7. thank you for your uplifting comments, made my day. I went to the seminar last night and my mind is spinning, 99% of me is so sure its the thing to do. I am 73 so kind of worries me as all the people were way younger. Wish I had done this years ago, never knew Medicare covered the surgery. I don't understand this site yet but interesting reading all the comments, some discouraging. I don't know how to put a photo or a chart on my profile but will mess around with it. Again thank you ....Loutenia
  8. I will be thinking of you...just went to my seminar meeting last night but anxious to get going.....best wishes, loutenia
  9. Hi teresa....In the same boat as you....went to the seminar last night, very informative...Swedish in Seattle sounds great. I feel sure I want to go through with this but last night I dreamed about it alot, some anxiety. Good luck to us both....Loutenia
