  4. Grr, as my luck would have it I got my period on the third day of the pre op diet. I'm on the pill and it's in the middle of my birth control pack. I have a feeling my hormones are going wacky. I hope it stops soon, I'm travling to Mexico for my surgery and the last thing I want to be doing is try to manage putting in tampons when I'm all sore. Not to mention the 5 hour plane ride. Did anyone else have this? Ok...,end rant
  5. Hi, I will be at the Marriott in Tijuana from September 2nd through the 7th. Will anyone else be there?
  6. I will be at occ on September 2nd!
  7. I signed up the other day, imo the website is hard to navigate. I think this is a great concept but it needs some work as far as layout and search function. I look forward to seeing this take off!
  8. I'm not getting sleeved until September. However I just started using meetup.com it has a bunch of social clubs. Although there are some singles clubs there are a lot of activity based clubs. I've been to a few events and have had a great time. I highly recommend it. It's free to join and lots of the clubs have no membership dues. For instance Ilthe clubs I'm in are a movie, music, and book club, and just twenty and thirties social club. Once again I highly recommend it!

  10. Alright so my surgery date is September 3rd! I read in the paper work. I need some clarification! The night you are in the hospital do you need to pay for the hotel for your travling companion? Or do they stay with you in the hospital? I could ask Lori but I've asked her like a thousand questions already lol so if you could shed some insight that would help.
  11. Hi all, My name is Melissa I'm a long time lurker and finally deciding to go through with surgery in the last week in Aug. I've read through this entire fourm so Most of my questions have been answered. However I have a question regarding FMLA. I spoke with Lori from OCC and she said she could have the dr do the paper work. Did anyone have any trouble with getting approval as long as you meet the guidelines ie being employed for 1 year ect. Also I work in health care and do heavy lifting at times so I will be taking 5 weeks off total 1 for surgery and 4 for recovery. Did the dr give you a note or proper documentIon to return to work? I know my job requires a note of medical clearance to return. Sorry if I rambled
