  1. Heard about this from Dr. Oz on Oprah. It's delicious and keeps you feeling full for a long time! The Quick Magical Breakfast Blaster 2 servings, 136 calories per serving 1 scoop (1/3 cup) Soy Protein (like Natire's plus Spiru-Tein) 1/2 tablespoon flaxseed oil 1/4 cup frozen blueberries 1/2 large ripe banana (or other fruits of your choice) 1/2 tablespoon apple juice concentrate or honey 1 teaspoon Psyillium seed husks Peel banana; break into chunks. Put all ingredients in a blender. Add 12 ounces of Water and ice, as well as powdered Vitamins. Cover, blend until fairly smooth.
  2. I don't think you're being over dramatic. Surgery is a very serious thing. I left notes for my kids before I went into surgery. Never hurts to take precautions. Looking forward to hearing from you after your surgery. Donna:hungry:
  3. I was banded on February 9, 2007
  4. A pulmonary consult is a good thing. I was banded on Friday, Febrraury 9, 2007. When I went for my three day follow up I was having a shortness of breath and calf pain. My doctor immediately sent me for a CAT scan and ultrasound of my calf. Three pulmonary embolisims were found in my lungs so I was admitted to the hospital immediately. Everything is under control now. The scary thing is that I had that same kind of calf pain two other times in my life and they were both negligently dismissed by the doctors I had at the time. Now I know that I could have possibly had a problem with clotting prior to the surgery and I didn't know it. Would have been nice to know before my Lap Band surgery! Good Luck and I wish the best for your surgery.
  5. HI Pam! Two years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS and I took glucophage to become pregnant with my second child. A nice side effect of glucophage was weight loss. I oftened wondered why it is not marketed as such. Long term use of glucophage does require liver and kidney monitoring. Good Luck. Hope this helps. Donna
