  1. I guess they stick the little things to you during the EKG? I've been waiting on more information about my diet right before and after surgery. At least I finally feel like it's happening! I was starting to get discouraged after 5 months of visits. They only lasted 15 minutes (not complaining) I was weighed, Talked to then done for another month. I just did not feel like anything was happening. It's almost here though. Sent from my DROID RZR Maxx using LapBandTalk
  2. I should add. I Know what and EKG and a nutritionist is....just curious as to what I have to do for the EKG and what the nutritionist will be going over. Sent from my DROID RZR Maxx using LapBandTalk
  3. I have been to 5 of my 7 required Dr. Visits and I was advised by True Results (Houston) that on my next Visit I would be having an EKG performed and I would be speaking with a nutritionist. I have no Idea what I should expect from either. Somebody help me out here LOL Sent from my DROID RZR Maxx using LapBandTalk
  4. Ohhh...Me, Me, Me, Me!! LOL Love it. I like shooting just about everything. Handguns, Shotguns, Bows...give it me, I'll shoot it. Sent from my DROID RZR Maxx using LapBandTalk
  5. Dr supervised diet I should have said. I have to meet once a month for 7 months. 3 visits left, one next week. I've done psych evals. Have to do all my other testing on 6th visit. Sent from my DROID RZR Maxx using LapBandTalk
  6. Whoops sent that before I was done typing. The most frustrating part for me is, I feel like I am at a stand still because the visits are so routine and the same thing everytime. It takes me 3 hours to get there for a 15 min visit. So a 6 hour round trip for a 15 min visit. I keep telling myself it is worth it...because it is. They told me on my 6th visit is when they will start doing testing. So something new Thank Goodness. I do not have actual surgery date but thinking sometime in September. Sent from my DROID RZR Maxx using LapBandTalk
  7. Johnathan! I know EXACTLY how you feel. I began this process , they told me 6 supervised blah, blah, blah. Then mysteriously...it's 7 now! Thankfully, I have already done 4 and visit #5 is in a week. Sent from my DROID RZR Maxx using LapBandTalk
  8. East Texas here near Lake Sam Rayburn. Originally from Beaumont....going through True Results Houston
  9. My insurance company required 6 months as well. Also, A Psych Exam and a Co-Morbity (Sleep Apnea is my Co-Morbity) I have completed the Psych Exam and 2 months of the Dr supervised diet. Waiting game is tough but it's going quick. Good Luck.
  10. Only my family will know and they are completely supportive of my decision. I work at a Police Department where we work 12 hour shifts I get 5 days off every other weekend but I am maxed out on Vacation so I can take that whenever I want. I figured when the time came around and I started losing weight I could contribute it to being healthier and going to nutritionist. I just rather people not know.
  11. Weight-Loss Lapband Buddies!? Say yes! Lol. I am still so happy today. I cant wait!
  12. Mihkail I am going through True Results Houston! So far they have made everything soooo easy for me!
  13. Thank you Ladybug! I honestly had to try so hard to contain my excitement when he told me I had it. i didn't want to weird the guy out by being excited as he told me I had sleep apnea. LOL. As soon as I hung up I freaked out! Did a little dance had my Doberman Pincher barking at me. It was funny. Glad I was home alone!
  14. Well I have some bittersweet news here! I recently started my weight-loss journey (January 13th to be exact!) I went in for my first of 6 visits that my insurance requires before surgery. My Insurance will only pay if I have a BMI above 40 and one Co-Morbity. Apparently, I went to the Dr and I was healthy as a horse. Great News LOL I know buuuuuuut Where is my dang Co-Morbity. I can't afford to be self pay! So they ordered a Home sleep study I had to take for 2 nights. I did it February 28th and 29th. Just got the phone call today them telling me I actually do have Sleep Apnea. It was literally the only thing left I had to be able to have this surgery. Just have to pass the PSych Exam on the 15th and I'll be good to go I know it seems weird to be excited but sleep apnea will get better with my weight-loss. I couldn't wait to get off the phone with that guy so I could scream. I know all of y'all can understand...For someone who has been over weight just about their whole life to be able to have a chance at losing weight is just amazing!Just few months ago I thought this was impossible........ Anyway, I am so Thankful for this website and the people on here.

  19. I am probably going to ask a really Lame question.....BUT.....I'll never know if I don't ask! I just did my 1st night of 2 of the home sleep study. Anyone know much about these things? Do they record the words you say before you go to sleep? I know there is a Acoustic Microphone but I was under the impression that that only record your snoring. LOL Just Curious really!
  20. I would be happy in 16. I am a medium frame so much smaller wouldnt look right on me. I can already see the many different sizes here. Yall are right....height makes a difference. I am not really sure my shape, however, I am bigger in legs.
  21. Isn't it crazy how different everyones bodies are? I am 5'7" and wear a Size 22 sometimes a size 20 starting at a Pre-Op weight of 315. I have heard of people my weight wearing such a larger size and I have heard of some wearing smaller...Anyone care to list Weight, Height and Pant Size?
