  2. Just took a nebulizer and an antibiotic.... I have asked for a leak test since I am scheduled to go home tomorrow.

  5. ok, so I am still in Hospital Almater and they just took an xray to see that my lung hasn't expanded properly so they are going to give me an antibiotic, does that sounds right? has anyone else has a lung problem a couple days after surgery?
  6. Hello Sleevers, I've had a feber on and off for about 36hrs and I had surgery on Monday at 9AM. Should I worry? I am in Mexacali scheduled to fly home tomorrow, should I worry about my fever? They've given me Tylenol but hasn't really fixed it yet. What should I do? Not sure I am up for the 4 and a half hour flight and 3 hour drive...
  7. Thanks all for your insights! They gave me some narcotics and now I pee whenever I need to so I'm all good. I can't wait to take a shower but that's a whole other thread Thanks a million.
  8. Is that normal to not be able to pee even though you have too. I was wheeled into srgery at 8:30 am and I haven't peed all day, I feel like I have go but when i get there. NADA I can't get anything out... I don't want a catheter so they gave me narcotics. Has anyone else had this experience?

  11. All, I am leaving tomorrow for Mexacalli and just wondering if I will every be able to eat like a regular albeit healthy person ever again? Those of you long time losers - in order to get 70-90 grams of protein into a day of calories (600-1200 calories) do you need to always drink protein shakes? are you long timers still drinking protein shakes daily or do you find that you are able to get what you need from a healthy diet?

  15. We will be sleeve sisters! Sounds like your sisters could both be a great resource for you to learn from so that is too bad. Surround yourself with supportive folks and you'll be fine. This forum has been a savior because I too have noone to talk to.
  16. My surgery is 6 days away and I am feeling flu like symptoms just starting. Do i have anything to worry about? If so, is there anything i can do or take to fend this off? I'm pumping vitamin c and staying in bed.

  20. I'm scheduled for surgery 2/27 and pre ops are 2/26.
  21. I am trying to figure out what I want my goal weight to be. Does anyone have a good resource to determine this? Any recommendations for how to think about this? I realize that I have to be flexible in the end however I do want something to "reach" for. My entire adult life has been either gaining or loosing so I don't really know what is comfrotable for me...
