Hello Kathy Lynn, I have taken it before my lapband and I am allowed to take it again after another month. I have had my band for only a month. in the beginning my heart felt like it raced a bit. It was not anything too serious and it got better with time. I have a ongoing problem with my thyroid and a severe Vitamin D deficiency. I felt so exhausted that my doctor prescribed it for help with energy. It also helped with appetite control. I believe it effects everyone differently. The pills are very small and easy to split if needed. Good luck with it.
