  1. Has anyone had weight loss success without alot of excess skin? I still have about 60-65lbs to lose, but I fear that I will always have a belly and I don't want to have a Tummy Tuck. Any suggesstions on how to minimize excess skin and avoid another surgery would be appreciated!!

  3. I am 5'3" and my goal weight is 130. This might change as I get closer. I started this journey at 232 pounds and I am currently at 197. I can't wait to get to goal or close to it!!
  4. I was just able to start solid foods yesterday. Not only does it seem to be a challange on what I should eat, but I'm not sure when to stop. I know you are not suppossed to feel stuffed, but satisfied. My question to everyone is at what is the point do you stop eating and how big are your portions??

  9. I'm so excited to finally be on the other side!! Surgery went pretty good today! I was in and out of the hospital in 7 hours. It is so nice to be more calm now....my nerves were horrible earlier today! I'm feeling pretty good so far and I hope I stay that way! I can't wait to start my new journey
  10. I'm happy to hear your surgery went well! I was banded today too...woo hoo!! I'm a little sore, but it is definetly manageable! I am so happy to be on the banded side. I was a nervous wreck today. I was totally questioning my decision and so far I'm happy I went through with it!
  11. When I got the call to be at the hospital 30 minutes sooner tomorrow morning my nerves really kicked into high gear....we can all get through this together! Best of luck to both of you tomorrow!!!
  12. My pre-op diet has been meat, cheese and eggs which I'm so sick of, but thankful that I haven't had to be on an all liquid diet. I have lost 5lbs in the last week...woo hoo!! The countdown has totally began...I will be at the hospital in 12 short hours to start the process...Reality has really set in and I'm very scared and very nervous. I want this more than anything, but a small part of me wants to back out, but I won't!! Good luck to all getting banded tomorrow See all of you on the other side!!
  13. Hopefully we can all keep in touch and support each other! Good luck to all!!!!

  17. I agree lets get this party started...I'm not a patient person so I wish I could get it over with and move on to the next part of this journey!! Good luck to both of you!!
  18. I finally decided to post after I've been looking around for a couple of weeks! This site is so awesome and I'm so happy to have stumbled upon it. I think it is going to be very helpful for me to have support from people who are going through the same things I am. I am scheduled for surgery on January 31st, 2012. I'm very excited that my journey which started in the late spring/early summer of 2011 is finally going to become a reality in a few short days. I'm excited and anxious, but also very nervous. If anyone has any words of wisdom...it would be greatly appreicated!!
