I am a white woman married to a black man. I have been for several years now although, I have dated black men for around 18 years or so.I didn't set out to fall in love with somenone of another race it just happened. I'm from the South and let me tell you anyone who says racism is a thing of the past needs to come and walk in my shoes a day or two. I receive it from whites and blacks.I believe you have the right to love who you chose whether it's someone of a different race , a different gender what business is it of mine???

HI EVERYONE- MY NAME IS MICHELLE, I'M 4 MONTHS INTO MY 6 MONTH JOURNEY FOR MY INSURANCE APPROVAL. I HAVE A QUESTION THAT CONTINUES TO NAG AT ME. HAS ANYONE FOUND ANY SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION ON THE LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF THE LAPBAND? OF COURSE, MY MAIN CONCERN WOULD BE EROSION. I HAVE CHOSEN DR.BENEVIDES IN DALLAS,TX AS MY DOCTOR. I WON'T MEET HIM UNTIL I GET INSURANCE APPROVAL. THE MORE I RESEARCH THE SURGERY, EVERYONE THAT I'VE TALKED TO ARE BANDSTERS THAT ARE MAYBE 1 YEAR OUT. CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH SOME KNOWLEDGE OF THE LONG-TERM EFFECTS???? :help:

I'm currently going through the insurance approval for my surgery. I have to have 6 months documentation of weight management.My question is to you that have been banded, would you do it all over again or would you pass?
