  1. I love the the ready to drink Lean Body in strawberry. Tastes so good! But regularly I drink Optimum Nutrition Whey Gold Standard in strawberry. Its 24g of protein, 120 cals, and 1g of sugar. I drink it with almond milk (so it doesnt upset my stomach) and occasionally throw in there some fresh strawberries. Love it!
  2. Thanks for the feedback everyone! I think I needed to up my protein intake. Hopefully in a couple of days i start feeling better
  3. Hi Erica! I am only 5 days post-op and have about 130lbs to lose too! The first couple of days after surgery are hard but just keep the positive thoughts flowing and know that in the end your journey it will all be worth it! Good luck with your surgery! Wish you a speedy recovery!
  4. I am now 5 days post-op and still following my liquid diet. Has anyone else had problems with just feeling weak? I have no energy whatsoever and just feel completely drained. I figure its from the very low calorie intake but just want to see if other people have experienced this and that it is normal to feel this way. Other than that though my recovery is going very well so I can't complain!
  5. Thanks ladies! Good luck to all of us!!!

  7. I still can't believe I finally got my lapband! It's pretty surreal, but the pain I'm experiencing today reassures me it really happened lol. I've been lucky enough to have very supportive parents and boyfriend here taking care of me since I got home though. I cannot express how excited I am about where this new journey will take me. I have been overweight since I was 6 & can't even imagine what it'll be like to finally feel "normal" with regards to my weight. I'm so happy that I found LapBandTalk, I don't personally know anyone else who has had this procedure & have decided to only tell a select few close to me so I love that I can come online and find support from so many great people who know exactly what I am going through! I had my surgery yesterday around 230pm and was out the door by 5pm (Really quick!). The pain medicine has been helping a lot. My incisions haven't caused me much pain, but the gas that they use for surgery is horrible. I try to walk as much as I can to get it out of my body but my shoulder begins to hurt pretty quick. I slept sitting up on my couch last night because the pain. I'm hoping I will be able to sleep in my bed again In a day or two. My diet post-op has mostly consisted of protein shakes, soup, and popsicles. I haven't been very hungry which is making this liquid diet easy so far, I just hope it stays this way! lol. Good luck to all of us on our new lives!
  8. Thanks everyone for the great advice! I've been walking around a lot today and bought a heating pad which helps so much with the shoulder pain!! Just have to take everything a day at a time
  9. I just got my lapband yesterday! I am really happy and excited to start my new life My incisions have not been giving me much trouble but the chest & arm pain caused from the gas they use is hurting pretty bad. Last night I slept sitting up on my couch because It hurt so bad to lay down and felt like I couldn't breath. Has anyone else experienced sleeping problems? How long did it last? Thanks everyone!
