  1. I told my dietitian that having coffee with no (sugar- free) cream was a BIG problem for me at work. They asked me to try protein vanilla scoops to -sub for the creamer- with my coffee. I hated it! I went back to work and drank caffeinated coffee with splenda and sugar- free creamer. It was delicious, but I could even get a half cup down before I'd have to work on drinking my lunch protein shake! I started to worry about the fat calories and the whole thing just became a nuisance, so I switched to hot tea with splenda. I got my caffeine without the guilt and I didn't stall out on my weight-loss. I only drink about 1/2 cup on work mornings. Good Luck!!!
  2. After you have surgery, you won't have the same starving feelings and it'll be so much easier to watch what you put in you mouth! Hang in there!!!!! I was on a stringent pre-op diet for two weeks and I cheated (4 times). I was very ashamed of myself because I knew I had done a disservice to my surgeon by making his job harder. In the end, my surgery went fine. Forgive yourself about the Cookies and strive to do better in the future. Don't forget they need to shrink your liver so they have room in to work with your tummy. DO THE BEST YOU CAN! In my humble opinion, pre-op dieting this is the hardest part.
  3. I'm close to I month out from my operation and I'm tired quite often. I'm really hoping it will go away once I start my mushies next Tuesday. I'm going to see my surgeon, dietitian, and exercise physiologist on Thursday, so I'm going to ask them about this since it's prevalent in the community. I'll report back my findings! take care!
  4. Thank you! I'm starting mushies next Tuesday and my food list is pretty strict. I'm going to try your recipe with chicken breasts! I can't wait to eat something other than protein shakes!
  5. I ordered a package yesterday. I plan to use it when I move to solid foods. Mac and Cheese is one of my trigger foods. I hope this satifies the cravings without breaking any of my doctor's orders. I'll let you know if it tastes good or not.
