  1. welcome, I am new also, mother of 7 children with 6 grandchildren. I need other medical things done but I need to lose weight first. I try to keep in touch with people from my local support but no one around here follows through so I came looking here for support and info from others. Later today is my first back to the doc visit since surgery 2 weeks ago. Wish me luck good night. lynn

  5. hi had my surgery nov 17th.was told no eating at all 1st 2 weeks. I was also told nothing was in my band. I have alot of swelling. What I had alot was burning inside my stomach when ever a drink went in. Mydoctor said no one ever said that to him. He did say eating and healing is stages. Do one for 2 weeks when you move to stage 2 and nothing happens stay there for awhile then go to stage 3 if at anytime you have a problem go back to last stage you did well at. I worry about my blood count.I am having my doctor take it Friday. I did eat 2 spoons of peanut butter very slow. I hate shakes and its doesnt taste right now so I am still at stage one. Burning is almost all gone. I choked once but didnt get sick but was very scared. eat food when ready like a new born baby very small bites and slow very slow. Good luck. lynn
