  1. Thanks Crisp, I know what you mean about bad habits. Whether it's jello or pureed food, I still fill my dish to pre-band portions out habit. I love to cook, and it's hard to remember not to taste what I'm cooking!! I still have so much to learn!!
  2. Thank you! Trust me, I won't be doing that again anytime soon!
  3. Hi, I was banded on Dec 19, all is going well...except for this evening. I started to eat a mushed up meatball, and it immediately felt like it wasn't going down. Long story short, I've spend the last half hour vomiting. Although it wasn't a lot it there were a few spots of bright red blood. Is this ok? Or should I call my doc? I'm really worried, I've done some damage from getting sick. I feel better now, but still feel like I've pulled a few muscles in my chest and stomach. Any advice??? Thanks Jennifer

  6. Hello everyone, I'm scheduled to have a lap band w/plication on Dec 19th. I'm on day 3 of my pre-op diet, I'm starting to crave all the sweets I used to eat!! Physically, I'm not hungry, but emotionally I could eat Christmas cookies all day!! Hope everyone is having better luck than me!!
  7. Hi, I'm a newbie, scheduled for surgery on the 19th. My doc recommends 70gm of protein per day ( 1 meal is a shake, 2 other meals are 2-4oz of lean protein & 1/2 cup veggies). This diet is too be followed FOR LIFE. Does anyone else find this excessive or is this a typical post op diet? Thanks, Jennfer
  8. I'm on Day 3 of my pre-op diet. The first day was rough, (really tired & had a migraine!) but the past two days seem better. My first week of the diet, allows 2oz of lean protein & 1/2 cup veggies for two meals. I'm really bored with chicken & fish. Anyone have any other meal ideas?? Are beans or cheese okay?? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
  9. Happy to hear everyone is having an easy time with the pre-op diet! I start mine next Thursday. I'm anxious to find out what is involved with the diet. Won't find out until my 10 day diet appt. Jen
  10. Ok, Chirstmas Week Banders. My surgery is Dec 19th, but I still will be having company for Christmas and making a Christmas dinner. Anyone have any suggestions on how to incorporate some yummy clear liquids so, I can enjoy dinner as well? Just trying to preplan. Thanks

  12. Good Evening! I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jen, and I'm scheduled to have the lap band w/plication on 12/19. I'm excited about this new journey in my life, but also REALLY nervous that I won't be able to do it. Anyone else, feel this way??
