  1. Good luck today! Remember to take deep breaths and walk at last 5 ln every hour...it helped me with the gas pain.
  2. I was banded Nov 1st and so far so good. I am still sore around the port area but other than that no problems. Down 16lbs and 2 sizes. Still mostly eating the mashed foods but slowly starting to add solids. I feel a ton better now that I am off of liquids and starting to get some food in me. I was really weak and just dead tired. I decided to get banded because of health reasons more so than because I was overweight...diabetes, heart disease, liver disease. I have never struggled with my weight even after my 4 kids until a year or so after my hysterectomy. I tried for years on my own to get rid of the weight and nothing worked. It took me a long time to give up and move forward with LapBand. Looking forward for the first fill on the 30th. Good luck to all!!
  3. I was also banded on Nov 1st. Still pretty sore around the port area but other than that I feel great. Down 16lbs and 2 sizes so far. When I went last week for my post-op appointment I was told that it was really good that I was down so much and that between surgery and the first fill most people actually gain. At first I wasn't hungry at all...I could care less if I ever had food again. Slowly I am starting to get an appetite back. It is crazy how now when I start to feel full I am full and do not keep piling the food in. I get my first fill on Nov 30th. Woohoo!!! Good luck to all! P.S. I do not do facebook so I hope some of you will stick around here as well as the facebook page.
