  3. Gasx gasx gasx!!! Chewable worked but I liked the strips best. Three and four at a time for a day or two but they helped alot. Don't be afraid to walk a lot. I am 13 days post op and it is all a distant memory already. I started feeling much better when I backed off the hydrocodone. During the day at first then less at night. I stayed heavy on it at night because the rest and sleep was so good. Stay strong it will be nothing in a few days.
  4. I'm done! The two year journey to get banded was over Friday the third. Now I'm on the rest of the journey to a healthy me. I'm down 24 pounds from preop dieting. That leaves 70 to 80 pounds to go. I'm ready to get well into this segment of the journey. This weekend has not been bad. I Stayed high most of the weekend from my Dr 's well prescribed loritab. I have not told my parents or extended family about the surgery. I figure anouther 20 or 30 pounds they will start to ask. I don't have a supportive relationship with family. Or I should say extended family so its not like I lean on them much. That's what my bride is for anyway! She has been supportive and amazing throughout. On the ney sayer front. A cousin who is an OR nurse called me Saturday to ask how I was doing and how he couldn't believe I had "THAT PROCEDURE " done. His wife is also an OR nurse and works at the hospital I had my surgery. After his 2 or 3 condescending remarks about lap band failure and maintenance required to be successful I decided to discuss the hippa law. I'm quite sure I made my point. To the rest of the August bandsters, good luck and don't sweat it. So much more to say but the loritab is taking my thoughts and concentration. Mike
