  1. I'm still confused because my GP did my psyc eval. She just wrote that I didn't have unrealistic expectations and I wasn't a psycotic (SP?) It was just included with her regular referral letter.
  2. tangerine thanks for reminding me why I did this. I almost feel like I went temporarily insane! I'm still going to have a scrambled egg with salsa for breakfast. Wanna join me?
  3. Thanks for asking that question! I'm just barely banded and have been eating whatever I want. I, too, chew to puree and my dr. said mushy food for 4 to 6 weeks. Tonight I even ate brown rice and chicken and I do't feel as restricted either but if I eat more than about 1/3 cup I hurt. Good question and good answers. Thanks!
  4. Mine is left side about 3" under my bra and about the same off center.
  5. I have two questions. I'm 5 days banded. How long was it til you noticed extra energy or the need for less sleep? The second question is the side of my tummy with the port is obviously larger than the side without? Is that normal?
  6. Well at least I know I'm normal. When I left the hospital they told me I was ok with mushy. That was 24 hours. They even served me cream of wheat in the hospital. So I am kinda on mushy but the gas pains are subsiding and I can feel the port already. Weird!
  7. My primary care physician did the psycological and the nutritional stuff with my general physical exam so it was all covered. Sorry I can't be of more help.
  8. PC Comic Strip Black I thought my entire experience was wonderful and would recommend Dr Alldredge to anyone thinking about it. I've been in the hospital more than I like to admit and have never been treated better. Hats off to Alta View Hospital and Dr Alldredge.
  9. I have united too, but mine took a couple of weeks and I have deductables. It was $110.
  10. I stayed in the hospital the first night. I think I was just to grawgy from the anistecia (sp?) I'm ok now. Thanks for the reply. I'll keep you updated.
  11. I got my band on Monday, today is Wednesday. My tummy growls all the time. Not the upper part where it's still tender, but the lower part that's used to eating 24/7. Did this happen to you? Also I feel like I have gas too. Anybody else have this?
  12. I'm still recovering. I was just banded on Monday. I have no idea if I've lost weight or not. Heck it's only been two days. I'm just happy to be on the road to a healthier me.
