  1. I was sleeved on 1-23-12 and I am trying my best to stay away from the scale and just hope the weight will come off...I am following my docs program: walking 30-40 minutes a day, 70-80 oz of fluid and getting at least 60g of protein a day. I know there will be a stall just not worrying about that and trying to make sure I am doing my part... Good luck to you
  2. Chrissy, I personally threw up for the first 48-hours after surgery. I was prepared for this as a possible side affect. I was miserable couldn't keep down ice chips but miraculously on the 3rd day after surgery all the nausea stopped. I haven't had any other issues with nausea since. During that ordeal I had absolutely no regrets.
  3. Congratulations! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
  4. I'm with you 4th day post op and I can barely get in 300-400 calories...I can't believe that I am flat out not hungry considering how much I use to love to eat...
  5. Plenty of room on the bench, as all of our butts will be getting smaller soon:)
  6. So glad to see this post...I barely got in 40oz of liquids today and about 25g of protein....I am not hungry and the sight of food makes sick...
  7. Scooting over for you...I arrived on the bench on 1-23-12...not nearly as bad as I thought...lil nausea but that was all...wishing you a speedy recovery...
  8. Thank you all, nausea is a little better today...at home resting, sipping & walking...
  9. As I have arrived on the loser's bench...Surgery when great I have a, "tight little sleeve" per surgeon and my liver was small....Only issues I can't keep anything down not even ice chips so they are keeping me another night...Pain is very manageable, if it weren't for all the nausea this experience would have been smooth sailing....Thanks for all your prayers...

  16. Well it is finally that time, I get ready to start my "journey." I don't say that word lightly as I know that this is truly a long process from beginning to end. I finally came to the realization that I cannot conquer my issues with my weight without surgery. I start this journey with open eyes and realize that there may be complications and rough days ahead of me but there will be no buyer's remorse here. So come on with the prayers and well wishing for it is finally my turn tomorrow! #fistpump
