Don't be afraid to tell your PCP. Leave your PCP if they don't care enough to assist you. Remember, YOU pay them for your care. You are an adult and don't need their permission to make life changing decisions. I know it may be challenging to find a good doctor, but if they cared, they will be there.

I drink socially and haven't seen it impact my weightloss. Although, the drinks that I've had didn't have a high alchol content. I haven't gotten a buzz by them......although I sip on one glass for the entire time I'm out and I dance off the majority of it.

It's funny how the stories go. I'm not a mom, but my energy level only improved 2 days after surgery. My mom actually had to tell me to slow down. I had surgery in the middle of the week and was back to work the following Monday. Although I did not pick up on anything over 10lbs, so I'm sure that will be difficult when you have small children depending on you.

No. I wish I had this option. My doctor found a stone in my gall bladder recently. It hasn't given me any problems yet, but I know it will if I don't do anything about it. I got him to prescribe Actigall to see if I could avoid surgery, but he's not very optimistic due to it's size.

You can drink beer. You can eat fried chicken. You can do all the things you did before, just in significant moderation. Remember, all of those things that you are mourning are all of the things that got you to this current state. You may read this forum and notice how seriously we take our diets (some more than others obviously), but it is because we have committed ourselves to a lifestyle change. Everyone has a different motive. Family, job, self, money, greed, envy, health..... you name it, you'll find it here. This is a permanent change, do not take it lightly because it will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. Best wishes.

Congrats! Other than the traveling bit (which by the way I am jealous of), our story reads the same. I have always been active in sports, yet could not lose more than 15lbs. I also have PCOS. I plan on kicking this weight in the dust.

I keep mine in the freezer at work. It's good when I forget my packed lunch at home. I also eat veggie meatballs.

I am having the same issue. My stone has been caught before it gives me problems. Of course the first thing the doctor screams is to cut it out. Um, wait a minute. I only have one and there are ways to shrink/shatter my measley stone. Can we try those options before surgery? So, I called my primary to get a referral for a second opinion. I scar easily and am not prepared to undergo another surgery. So unless this thing is giving me problems, I am not taking it out. And yes, I have read about additional stones being created, resulting pain, and other medical issues being created by the removal of the gallbladder. So if they think it's no big deal, it's a big damn deal to me.

What about a robe with the metal buttons instead (since you are unsure about the zipper).

Try donating them to your local Goodwill. There are simply not enough plus size clothing at those type of stores. It would really benefit no/low income buyers.

LOL @ the circle. Yes, they will run you over and not stop to help so be careful. Ask Trish or Dr. Kelly for a ride whenever you are ready to venture out. I also enjoyed my stay at the Lucerna. I felt comfortable and safe. There are out of uniform guards around the premises. And I can't say enough about my experience with Trish and Dr. Kelly. I am glad that you and your sister faired well.
