  1. I have thought I had this before but my dr verified that I did not. He said I had the same amount each time he checked, right before he filled me. The last full he gave me was about 1.75 ccs. I should have had over 11ccs. I knew I didn't because I was very hungry and gaining weight. I went to a different dr who measured only 8.5 In my band. He also told me I couldn't have a leak because I would have lost a lot or all of the Fluid if I did. He said he was sure I didn't have a leak. I'm now confused. I guess I have to wait til next month to be measured again. Any one else experienced this??
  2. that is definitely a relief. I'm not sure what is going on e my band as far as having a leak. My dr gave me a good 2ccs under fluoroscopy last Tuesday. And I feel restricted again. I'll even go so far to say that I'm in the green zone again. But I too will be keeping my eye on it. If I lose restriction, I will be very suspicious of a leak. Next appointment will be for a leak test. I'm keeping my fingers crossed with this round.
  3. Update on my leak issue. So my dr measured the saline in my band and i was at 8 ccs. He had measured 9ccs a month before. I have not lost or gained. He gave me 2 ccs to put me at 10. I hope this one stays in. I have to wait another month to be measured again. At which time he will do a leak test on X-ray. I may have to have it replaced if I do have a leak in my system. He also said maybe he didn't pull all the Fluid out last time. He said if I had a leak I would be losing more than just one cc. Any thoughts or comments are welcomed.
  4. Thanks for the great advice. I'm 2 years out and I have a 14 cc band. Was once in my green zone at 11.5ccs. Now all if a sudden after a few fills I'm at only 9ccs. I'm hungry and don't even feel like I'm banded. This is crazy. I thought my band would last longer than 2 years.
  5. On my last visit with my surgeon, he told May that I may have a small leak. He didn't seem concerned about it and acted like it was normal. Even though i told him I'm gaining weight and hungry a lot. I am under the impression that if your band had a leak, if won't work properly. My band is allowing me to gain weight. Any suggestions what I should do? Has anyone had this problem? Please let me know your thoughts or experiences. I'm totally dissatisfied with my band right now.
  6. hello. No still no restriction. I'm under the belief that I have a leak. I had great restriction a couple of months ago. Now I feel like i did when I had just got banded. Total bandster hell right now. I've also put on 23 pounds. I was already at my goal. Now this.
  7. I've had multiple adjustments. You probably need fill under fluoro to get u near or in the green zone. I just realized from my last dr visit that I may have a leak. I didn't have the amount that I should if had. And u don't have the great restriction that I had a few months ago. I'll find out next month when dr will measure of saline still in my band. It's kinda sad that this happened right when I got to my goal. I'm pretty frustrated with all of this.
  8. Thank you all for the confidence to not give up. It's such a hit and miss type situation. I now get my fills under flouroscopy. So that does help me to not be overfilled once again. Now it's just trying to hit my sweet spot. I was at 23 this past summer. Now I'm 140. Weight is so easy to find but so difficult to lose.
  9. Was there and at my goal. Got stuck and had to be re adjusted. Had about 1 1/2 cc removed. Since then I've gained 20 pounds and I been in the yellow zone. I'm going to see dr this Tuesday to see if i have room for a small fill. I'm now 20lbs away from goal ???? Definitely not giving up on this journey. I'm so close. Anyone else experienced my issue?
  10. Thank you for your input. It makes perfect sense now. Smaller fills so I don't go from yellow to red. Which had happened twice. I DID hit my goal back in July but it was by being too tight and not eating enough. Now I eat small and stay full 5 hours.
  11. Does anyone know what to compare that to? I don't think I will notice a difference once I'm back on solids.
  12. You will have to go through what all of us bandsters had to go through, which is called "bandster hell" it is for the first 3 months or until u have the right amount of Fluid in your band. U will make it. It's all worth it in the end.
  13. I was banded November 2011. I'm barely at my sweet spot/Green zone. I'm at my goal and see my surgeon Dr Au every month. I thank him and hug him at every visit. I feel without him this would not have been possible.
  14. It took me 18 months. I'm now ready for the next step, which is having Fluid taken out. I have an appointment tomorrow and in asking for the removal of my last fill (.25cc)
  15. I heard its gone. But all the data I entered too? Ugh this sucks. I was almost at 100% on the graph. And was anxious to add my after picture. Allergen should be nicer to us.
  16. Started my journey November 2011 at 235 I'm now at 133 trying to hit 125. I'm still in my green zone and seeing my surgeon every month. I doubted myself on the beginning and even had regrets along the way. But I think that's normal for most of us. Eating is like a bad habit now. I eat very small and my band helps me get Thru it. Thank u 1-800-GET -THIN and Dr Lee Au for giving me another chance at life. U save lives. I will post pix the day I hit goal. Stay tuned
  17. My god! Those are some wry dangerous #'s you were at. U r an inspiration to all of us who have this device implanted in our bodies. It is for us to live long healthy lives. And now u will be able to do that. You go girl!!
  18. Mine noticeably protrudes however my Dr will be replacing it for a thinner and flatter version to suit my now flat tummy. My doctor is Dr. Lee Au of Beverly Hills. ')
  19. Hang in there. It will come and u will know when your in the green. But remember its not a full feeling signal u are looking for. Once the hunger goes away which is around 20 small bites. U will be satisfied. Not full though.
  20. Thank you. And yes, the best advice I have is to change your food choices. You will have to do this with each adjustment. So start now. Take small bites and chew each small bite of food until its mush. This is still the hardest part for me. But this is where my band starts to do Its work by reminding me only small amounts at a time. My dr says 20 small bites of food. Throw the rest of your food away. Don't wait for the full feeling. U will be left with more of a satisfied feeling. Remember satisfied not full. Good luck on your journey. We're all here for you.
  21. Thank you all for your likes and comments. I am so emotional about this. I'm sitting here reading all the replies and taking peaks of my profile pictures and in honestly teary eyed. Yes we are new people and yes we can do it. We will make it even through those tough times when we doubt ourselves or we go in a food binge or we feel like we have already messed things up so we beat ourselves up for it. Don't let that interfere with your journey. There is such a great sense of victory when u find that person inside yourself that is the real you. The lean you.
