  2. Hello friends, I am in the process of svg surgery. I was ready until the day of pre op and bariatric class I had to sit through. I kind of felt that years down the line I might have issues and need additional surgery. Not to redo the sleeve because I’m not loosing weight or regaining but for scar tissue or Gerd or other reasons. If there is anyone that has had the sleeve for many years I would love to hear from you. I just want reassurance. I always wonder if 10,15,20 years from now there will be problems and what would happen if I don’t have half of my stomach... The thought of it scares me...it’s an important organ in our body... any information will help. Thank you!

  4. Does anyone have gastritis and did the sleeve? If so how did it change or did it get better or worse? The doctor did an endoscopy and said I have gastritis. I also have Gerd. I am going to have surgery soon and would like to know if anyone had it and how there doing? Thank you!

  6. I want to back out I’m so scared of having my SVG surgery in 2 days. My doctor is going to be upset at me. I have Gerd now and I’m afraid to have it later. I don’t want to go through another surgery afterwards. If I were to do the sleeve would I need another surgery 10 to 20 years down the line?
  7. I was also banded October 5th and I got my first fill today. I was scared to death but it was nothing. I had nothing during the surgery. I lost 14 pounds in one month. The doctor tried to put in 5cc but it was tight so he left only 4cc inside. I will be getting another fill on December14th. Hope this fill helps I had lost 16 pounds but 2 pounds came right back. So now its 14 pounds. I got my appetite back this last week. Surgery Day I was 206 now I am 192 My goal weight is 140-150...
  8. Yeah its awful. We have all been there, done that. You are not alone. But tomorrow you will be done after all the wait. Congrats!
  9. I am a low bmi'er. I was 206 the day of surgery and now I am 191. Is this good??? But my weight loss is stalled and I am starting to feel hungry all day long. Will the fill help what do I expect???
  10. Hi, I was banded October 4th and I am scheduled for my first fill on November 9th. I am so scared... I don't know what it will feel like. I just started eating solid foods and I am hungry all day long. I feel like snacking all day but small portions. I am so tired of eating apple sauce, yogurt and soup. Can someone tell me what to expect for my first fill please?
  11. I have the same situation and I have been banded 12 days today. Don't worry you are not the only one. My husband has turned on me since I got banded. He is not supportive or shows he cares. He doesn't even ask how I am feeling. He also eats what he wants. I don't know what its from but he seems like a different person. We are very distant now after the band. I have 3 kids and I had to get up on my feet real quick by the 3rd day.
  12. Hello I was banded on October 5th and I am so hungry. My band is empty according to my doctor. I am sick of eating jello pudding etc. I feel like I want real food... How can I stop my cravings? What can I eat since I am not a soup person. Also should I have a fill on Nov 9th or should I wait a month??
  13. Hi I am 12 days banded and its normal to have diarhea. I had it too. It will go away. Its from all that liquids. Although, I am hungry now. lol
  14. Oh my gosh I am the same way. I got banded on the 5th of October and I am very hungry. My doctor doesn't even allow yogurt/pudding until the second stage. I am a low bmi-er. I only have 50 lbs to lose which I lost 10 pounds this week. Does anyone know if I can start eating some more real food? Would it be a problem? He also wants to do a fill in 4 weeks
  15. I am 7 days post op and I am so hungry. I am still on the liquid diet. When can I start eating real food? I'm afraid I will get stuck when I start eating? Can you give me suggestions as to what I can eat? Thanks
  16. Hi, I'm 36 years old too and I just got banded October 5th. I only have 50 pounds to lose. I was worried about my port showing since my brother in laws shows so bad it sticks out. My doctor placed the realize band and I can't even see or feel the port. I don't even know were it is. The band should be replaced every 10 years or so. Just like breast implants. Its not a easy solution specially the first 3 weeks of surgery. I am still on liquids and I crave food all day. I miss eating real food.
  17. I am also going to be banded on October 5th. I have anxiety too and I always think the worse. I am so nervous today. I am also wondering what ifs you know. But four years ago when I lost 70 pounds my anxiety/panic attacks disappeared. Unfortunately I gained all the weight back and I have the same problem. I am hoping when I lose the weight the anxiety will go away..
  18. My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow at Cedar Sinai and I am so scared I still want to know what to expect. Ive had 3 c-sections and a tummy tuck but I have never been this afraid. I would like some encouragement if went through the same thing. Also I would like to know what to expect tomorrow??
