I have a Gateway T-250 which cost me about $299. It's a 5 mega pixel, compact and takes pretty good pics.

I love www.fitday.com, but I never use the foods already listed unless I absolutely have no packaging of my own. I always take what I've eaten and enter it as a custom food according to what I've really eaten. It's a great way of tracking not only your calories, but how it breaks down into Protein, fats, carbs etc. good info girls!

The liquid is not meant to be removed once you've met your goal weight. Obesity is a lifelong disease which we could easily revert back to without our bands. It is meant to remain adjusted only enough to allow you to maintain your goal weight. Hope this helps!

I'm finally having to consider buying ALL new clothes. I have worn my undergarments until they're just about laughable and I have been wearing 2 pair of elastic waist black slacks for work now for months. This past week it became very clear that the legs and back end are now past the point of being just a little baggy. I got into a pair of capris I bought back in the summer that were too small then. My jeans are beginning to look like they're falling off . lol I am a pitiful sight!! The best part is, I've been taking quite a few hot baths lately because I get so cold I need to thaw out. The other day I slipped into the tub and was looking down at my legs and I swear they looked like they belonged to someone else. Those were NOT my legs!! They're not skinny by any means, but they're very obviously much smaller!

Just so you know, Diet Coke is carbonated and considered a NO NO also.

I'll keep you in my thoughts, Brenda. I know how disconcerting it can be. Is this the same insurance who paid for your band initially? If so, they'll probably cover it. I had even changed plans/same company, and they did cover mine. I hope it's the same for you. Please let us know what you find out. Good luck to you!

Glad to hear you're doing okay other than the initial swelling. That sounds rather uncomfortable, I really never had it. Hopefully, it means you'll have some restriction once the swelling goes down too. Try to keep sipping as much as you can and walk, walk, walk. take care and let us know how you're doing!

Yes. My reason for asking. I have lavasoft and I'm having to run it daily and I have NAV which was updated yesterday(and does get updated automatically). I clean this thing out and I'm still getting them. I went ahead and downloaded Yahoo's Spyware tool, which I hesitate to do. Seems to me like those things attract more than they get rid of. lol.

Am I the only one getting pop ups when I come here now?? This makes it very troublesome, especially if I''m on my company laptop.

Yea. Well it was all in good fun. But, I apologize if my participation offended anyone. You're right, it did get out of hand.

The band is the hard looking, straight across object directly below the upper pouch. The day I had the fill, I had problems swallowing, I pb'd on a Protein shake. I had some pain upon swallowing, but after about 2 days on liquids I was able to ease back into foods with very little problem. Then the nighttime reflux appeared. In my case, revision was simply the placement of a new band. In some cases, they are able to go in and reposition the old band.

Then they've never had a slipped band. lol. I've seen this said many times, I've also seen it said numerous times that people had little to NO symptoms and certainly not any that severe and were found to have what amounts to a 'sliding' slip. I can point you to numerous ones who were found to have had hiatal hernias that should have been fixed before their banding who had these silent slips. If it gets to the point where you can't even swallow your own spit, the stomach has then folded over the band and occluded the pathway for the swallowing. This has to start somewhere. Most probably with a minor slippage either lower or higher on the stomach then eventually - if left untreated, the stomach could protude on through the band and cause the more severe symptoms. They said mine was simply slipping up and down on the stomach, it did not have it obstructed which was the reason I never really had a problem with eating. I did, however, develop reflux AFTER I got a fill on top of this slippage. I'll attach my films where you can see the stomach protruding above the band. You can also see that my band is sitting straight/horizontal when it should be angled upward. I was told this was either a case of using the old surgery technique OR the sutures used to sew the stomach around the band had come undone. Who really knows the truth??

At times, flying, I have felt that my restriction might have changed some. I'm not sure. I did hear one woman tell how she had her fills done in San Fran then drove home up in the hills and she swore the altitude made an impressive difference. Once again, it's probably a very personal thing. Sorry there is no hard and fast answer to many questions with the band..

Yes. This is the same test they do on flouro. They can see the positioning, they'll give you barium to drink to follow the flow of liquids from your esophagus to the small intestine. Depending on the orders, they could even adjust your fill at the same time if they saw reason to do so. I hope you get it straightened out. Nighttime reflux if severe is nothing to let go on for very long.
