  1. Hi... I would love some input. I have been researching this surgery on and off for a few years and getting ready to go through all the steps. I have a friend whose daughter had the lap-band surgery a few years ago. She recently told me that she throws up every morning and she doesn't eat much at all. Is this normal or is she doing something wrong? I also just heard that she is having kidney problems and I have no idea as to the cause. I would hope that you would be accustomed to what you can and can't eat and how much, and wouldn't be throwing up after a few years! I would appreciate any input...
