  1. Hang in there. It does go fast-although at times it seems it will never end. I lost 10 pounds the 2 weeks prior to surgery thanks to the optifast. After the first couple of days, I found it got easier!
  2. I am day one post op. Came home last night after surgery. Hurt more this morning-abdomenal pressure. Also shoulders hurt from the CO2 in my abdomen. But not hungry and out of bed. Drinking pedialyte.

    I just had my surgery on 9/14. I had 2 weeks of optifast products prior, and then two days of clear liquids. By the day before surgery, I had to leave work early-couldn't think and multitask. During the optifast, most of the time (after the first two days) I was not hungry-just seriously missing texture. I have taken off 2 1/2 weeks after surgery......hoping to be on pureed foods by my return.
