  1. I am also glad I found this forum so welcome from me to you Are they talking about you having surgery on September 6th? Are you on a special diet? I'm just curious because my doc made me start on one 2 weeks before he could do the procedure. Good luck and you will have to post some pictures!
  2. I was in severe pain...in my THROAT! (I suffered from GERD prior to surgery and because of the amount of reflux I had, they had to use a larger tube.) I remember waking up and telling the nurse "I'm so mad at yoooou! You HURT me and my throat is so sore!" My husband and mentor from church were with me and couldn't stop laughing!
  3. I haven't had any problems with salad.
  4. Congrats! That is an awesome feeling and you should be proud of yourself! I say go buy yourself a new outfit. I have really tried to motivate myself by getting 1 new thing, a size smaller, each time I hit a major milestone in my weight loss. I know that doesn't make sense to most people to buy something SMALLER than what I need but I hang it on my closet door and look at it every morning so that I'm extra motivated to stay on track and determined to get into that outfit by a certain date. Good luck and keep up the good work!
  5. Hello, everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself and say how much I have enjoyed reading the posts of my fellow banders. I had surgery in November, 2010 and from 2011 up until recently, I did not fare so well. We had a lot going on in life and I quickly learned that fast food was not my friend. We also were overwhelmed with selling our house, trying to buy another house and moving so again, turning to fast food because things were in total chaos. Not to mention stress on top of stress! Now, we're settled in our new home and the past few months have been going great! I weighed 212 before surgery. Much to my disappointment (in myself), I had only lost 10 pounds from surgery date to March of this year. After my appointment in March, I made up my mind this band was going to work for me and that was that. I had an appointment with my surgeon today and since my last visit (March) I am down by exactly 20 pounds! He is overall pleased with my progress and said I don't even look like the same person he operated on. How excited I am to be wearing 2 sizes smaller than I have been! Thank you all for sharing your stories and photos with me and I appreciate all of the motivation that I see here. God has truly blessed me.
