I live outside of Charlotte I found Dr Gonzales in Winston Salem, I saw him on Thurday. He was great. The fill cost me 525.00 But a lot cheaper than spending 2 days traveling to Mexico. He does it at the hospital, I was in and out in about 30 minutes.

I also have the VG band I have not lost any weight since the first month, I was banned in January. I have had 1 fill of 6cc's and still have no restriction. I am drinking while eating which I know is a big no no so as of today I am putting down the glass.

I had my 1st fill monday, I did not feel a thing. He did numb me 1st, however........I am not sure what was going on because I never looked at what he was doing. I never even saw the needle but I about passed out 4 or 5 times during the process. I could not see what he was doing but every time he started the fill I broke out in a huge sweat, my legs were jello so he had to keep stopping. He said that had never happened before. Leave it to me!

I had my surgery January 24 2007 in Mexico. I went back March 5th for my 1st fill. I have a 8cc band and he gave me a 6cc fill. Has anyone else had 6cc for a first fill? Lauri-ANn

I also bought the liquid vit. I was able to get one dose down. The thought of having to take it again makes me feel like I will get sick. I bought the chewable and have no problems.

I will be 2 weeks post op on wed. and have been unsure if I am getting enough liquids. I think I am going to copy your day and see if I have more energy. I am drinking about 3oz of yogart for breakfast, 4ozsoup for lunch and 4 oz of soup for dinner and water or tea in between.

Just wondering does a fill hurt? I am getting my 1st fill March 2nd in Mexico. how ofter are you getting fills? And how much Water should I be drinking 2 weeks post op? Thanks Lauri-Ann

I was banned on the 24 in Mexico with a BMI of 33 everything went well I was also a self pay. It has been 1 week I have lost 12 lbs. I met a lady at the same office I had my lapband and she was normal weight and had just had hers done one day prior to mine. I questioned her about why she didn't seem to need to lose weight. she said she had a extra 20 lbs she could not get off and so she came from Canada to Mexico. I saw Dr Carlos at Bajnaor Hospitlal, the cost was about 2,ooo less than others I saw. Everything was good, the place was clean everyone spoke english. Hi, I had gastric bypass in aug, 1995 everything went well the recovery was a little more than I had thought, It took about 3 weeks to feel good again I lost all of my weight and then some. and kept it off until 2002 when I got pregnant and put on 60 pounds and the next year I had another baby and added an additional 20 pounds to my 60. and it just did not seem to go away. I was banned on the 24th of Jan. Because I had the previous gastric my lapband took 4 hrs. I think that is why it has taken me longer to recover. today is one week and the first day I feel like myself. on the good side it has been 1 week and I have lost 12lbs! What is your reserve on gastric? Lauri-Ann

Hi Stacy, I was banned on the 24th however I had the gas from hell in the shoulders, the chest. I have to say that was the worst part of it all. I also felt like I needed to cough something up, I put a pillow over my stomach and tried to cough and yes there was lots of junk down there. It hurts but it will fill better after. I took about 3 days for all of that to get out of my chest. Good luck Lauri-Ann

Hey I am Lauri-Ann I was banded on 1/24. I grew up in concord. I went to Northwest Cab. and my mother worked at concord High until she retired a few years ago. I have 4 children 20, 18,4, and 3! I live in stanly county now. glad you are doing well.

Hi Carol, I was banded on 1/24 I think I can just now say I feel like I am going to make it. I was left with no energy after the surgery (which took 4 hours) and I felt like I had been ran over by a onvey of mack trucks. what are you eating in a day? I feel like I am not getting very many calories. Good Luck.
