I recently put a band in at a bmi of 35 and have not regretted it. I have lost weight before only to gain it back. my band will help me with the rollercoaster rides that that i know longer want to put myself through. I look for the band to help me stay on an even keel, not just to lose weight. I need the life long changes, not just another diet. you body, your life, your choice.
If one follows the diet and does not cheat themselves, keeps up with their maintenance, has no problems with their hardware which is somewhat rare or have another medical condition, there is no way that this will not work for them. You will hear of problems in here from time to time but i would imagine that most of the time it is one of the 4 above mentioned reasons why the problem is occuring. Some may disagree with me but that is ok. Sounds like a lot but it is really not. For me is is pretty simple, do I want to live miserably and die earlier than needed or are the carbs more important. I chose life. You have to decide for yourself which is more important to you and go after the one you want. Best of luck to you..
mine is called, pure protein shake. 35 grams protein and 90% of daily requirement of calcium. 1 gram sugar and 4 total carbs. i get them for 1.70 each and man are they fabulous. yes they have them in different flavors. my wife doesn't have a band and she has one a day anyway!
That is a decision that you will have to make for yourself. I can tell you that that is exactly what I did however and I feel comfortable with my decision..
