Thanks ya'll for replying, I was banded on 7/25/11 with plication and hiatal hernia repair, found out today that my surgeon put in 3.5cc @ surgery, come to find out I was too tight, the PA removed half of that b/c I was experiencing heaviness in my chest and felt like someone was choking me, feel much better now, this lil scare has made me realize that I need to do better on my bad habits, wishing ya'll the best on your journey as well

Would love to hear about & share stories from other people who had this done, any problems, how much weight loss so far

Hey Tracies, I just wanted to share with you my experience, it may be the same or different, I was banded on 7/25/11 with plication with 3.5cc fill @ surgery, the last 2wks I have been having a heaviness in my chest and pressure in my throat (felt like somebody was choking me) went today for my 1 month postop, explained what was going on (this is when I found out that 3.5cc was put in @ sx) the PA said that I need to have some saline taken out (took out half) immediate relief, she said that my pouch was pissed off, lol, hope this helps

the last couple of days I have been bad and I am so mad at myself for that, the band is still fairly new to me, been trying to figure it out, no fills yet except what little bit he put in during surgery, I am eating too much, eating too fast, and have been sipping on sodas, I wake up and tell myself you have to do better today but somehow through out the day I lose it, I have failed once again, I really hope I have not done any damage to the band, not sure what I am expecting from this post maybe alil reality check to whip me back into shape, thanks

Thanks everyone for sharing and your advice, I have been doing really well with just drinking unsweet tea and water but lately I have just been craving soda

So what are some things that you drink now, how long have you been banded?

Ok, I am going to take that as a NO, lol, how do I stop these cravings, its so hard, I hear a top pop then that's all I can think about!

Has anybody started back drinking their diet drinks after lap band surgery? I am so craving one!!!

Hey Success150, its good to know that I am not the only one belching like crazy, sorry to hear that you have been on liquids this whole time, I am actually on fork tender stage, kinda nervous about getting my first fill, I know I have to get my eating speed under control or I will be vomitting a lot, congrats on your weight loss so far, most def let's keep in touch on our journey

Thank you formerfatgirl for the info, I know I eat to fast sometimes, that is prob the hardest thing for me to stop b/c I am so used to eating fast but I know it is important to eat slow, from your pic its looks like you have had great success, you look awesome, thanks for the rx suggestion too, would love to add you as a friend

Since day one of my surgery, I have experienced excessive burping with or without drinking and eating, is this normal? Also have hiccups sometimes after eating, is that normal? I am 3wks out from lapband w/ plication and hiatal hernia repair surgery, I have been doing really well other than those few problems, I have lost 21lbs so far, I do notice now that after 2hrs of eating I start to get the hunger pains, no fills yet, is that normal? Sorry for all the problem questions, but here is one last one, been having a lot of sinus pain/drainage any suggestions of what to take, would like to say thanks in advance to anyone who reads and responds to this, I love this site and the people on here!!!

Thank you!!! That would make sense b/c this past week I have been experiencing sinus headaches, had no clue that sinus drainage would affect the band, but now I do, thanks again, can I add you as a friend?

for the last 3days I have experienced like a lump feeling in my throat, not sure if it is a gas bubble that is stuck or food, it happens mainly during the night but if I walk around it help relieves it some, has anybody else experienced this?

just wanted to introduce myself, i am new to this site, i had my lap band sx on 7-25-11, its def been a roller coaster ride, i have good days and bad days, but all in all, i love my band, it has helped me to lose 20lbs so far, i look forward to chatting with all of you
