  1. Hello..email anytime you want
  2. Two pillows, comfy clothes and ice chips for the ride home. It will be fine and you won't even know you were naked! Just a little sedative cocktail and good night! Best wishes!
  3. Does anyone else's teeth feel rough after starting this diet? I've always been big into the way my feel. That's why I never smoked or drank drinks with sugar in them. Now my teeth have a rough rather than smooth feel when I run my tongue over them.
  4. I go to soft foods next week. I was wondering how unflavored protein would be mixed in?
  5. Add me if you want. I'm a couple weeks behind you and in the small town delimma as well! If you have an iPhone the Lap Band app has a ton of free recipes! I've set at the same exact weight for three days now, starting to get slightly discouraged! I know I haven't has a fill and there is going to be ups and downs !
  6. Incentive spirometers are great, they keep your lung capacity up so pneumonia doesn't develop. Sometimes people don't breathe as deeply as they should post op due to pain. They didn't send me with one and now I'm battle an upper respiratory infection!
  7. I love Muscle Milk Light! I've bought unjury, but haven't tried it yet. I think the Atkins and EAS Carb Control shakes taste similar. Not bad, just bland
  8. It's been rough. I've been on chicken broth, 3 low fat yogurts, 2 protein shakes and 2 cups of fruit a day. I've cheated at work. I'm a nurse and i got hypoglycemic one night and our NP made me eat six goldfish crackers and half a fun sized Nestle Crunch and I was much better. So every night half way through my shift I eat the goldfish and fun size candy bar between my yogurt and broth. I know it's not a huge cheat, but dang I feel guilty for doing that. I've lost 22 pounds in 8 days, I keep comparing myself to my brother and uncle's pre op losses and get down, but I know they were both heavier and are male so their bodies metabolize differently. Wow, I'm rambling..must be nervous for Monday!
  9. Day 5 of my 10 day liquid diet...I'm hungry but pushing on..I just think I want something to chew! Surgery is monday the 29th...nervous but excited!
  10. This is day two of my ten day post op diet. It's pretty miserable. I lost 8 pounds since yesterday, but I know it's mostly fluids b/c i spend then entire night in the bathroom. I'm starving....not literally but in my mind. I had chicken broth and Water for Breakfast. I get two cups of fruit a day and that was my lunch. The important thing is to keep hydrated I think. And somehow get over my caffeine headache I wish I liked coffee. LOL
  11. August 29th!!! So excited! So scared too! I'm a nurse and I think I've overwhelmed myself with too much knowledge! I am committed and ready!
