Will Slow Losers Get To Goal?

I have had the same issue. I have lost a total of 47 lbs most of which was lost the first two months. I had my surgery in August 2011 and for the past 2 months or more have not lost anything or up then down. I was wondering what I am doing or eating that I should be. I am glad you presented this as I thought I must be the only one in the situation.

August 2011 sleevers get in here!!!!!!

I was sleeved August 10th and I have lost 30 lbs to date. I lost 15 the first week and 10 the second week. I gained 5 back the 3rd week and I think finally getting over the 3 week stall. I haven't had any problems with eating. I can eat anything. I have tried chicken, fish, turkey burgers, etc. I make sure I chew very well. I do not feel like I am losing very quickly. I do 30 minutes on the eliptical in the morning and walk in the evening. I haven't been recordng my food consistantly however plan to start today as I think I may not be calculating my carb intake correctly. I wanted to make a suggestion to the folks that indicate they are having trouble getting your Protein in. I use a Ninjia to mix my shakes and use a variety of of unjury protein flavors. In the morning I use the unflavored or vanillia protein in 50% less sugar OJ. (I also add Fiber which is orange flaavored). I blend the powders and liquid. Once mixed well I add ice about a cup. It makes it the consistency of a milk shake or smoothie. In the evening I have another Protein Shake (like dessert) I use the Unjury chocolate splendor and unsweetened almond milk. I mix the same as above and add the ice. I hope this helps.

I'm worried! Am I progressing too quickly?

I don't think you are going too fast. I lost 15lbs my first week and 10 lbs the second. I was sleeved on 8/10. I think mine is pretty extreme. I have followed to the letter all the Dr's directions....was on full liquids until 2 days ago and went to mushies....mash potatoes, cream soup, etc.

    Failing in the protein department

My Dr. says not to worry about protein until stage II. Main priority should be hydration, which should come in the form of the G2 and other clear liquids. Each day it seems that I am able to take in more liquid. I think you need more time to heal before putting in the protein.

    aug 12 been sleeved

I was sleeved on 8/10/11. I had 1 day stay in hospitial. I slept the majority of the first 3 days. Yesterday was the first day able to stay awake all day. Each day has gotten better and seem to get more energy with each day. It was almost like recovering from a very bad case of the flu (in regards to energy level). I go and have staples removed tomorrow. I find it difficult drinking the G2 as I was a devoted water drinker prior to surgery. As each day passes I am able to get in more fluids. I was very concerned about making sure I took in enough fluids. So far so good. Plan to return to work on Wed. My husband and I went downtown and walked through the shops today and had a wonderful time. I was able to make in through several shops and had a great time spending time with my husband. Also love the antique shops

Well, you see what had happened was...

Hi Carolina I live in NC and know exactly what you are talking about. After 3 children and gaining and losing with each, my weight slowly creeped up as well. I tried for years to work out eat only healthy foods. I would do well for a while and then Celebrate my loss and it was down hill from there. This has been a huge step. First discussing with my husband and children and now making that step. I am having may surgery on 8/10/11. I am looking forward to my new life.
