too many "bad foods"
I totally agree with this- Seriously before you know it you will be looking around your closet with nothing to wear. You will have stalls and honestly there just isn't much you can do to prevent them or hurry them along. Just go with the flow! :lol0:

Weight Gain???
I was sleeved a week before you and I had a 3 lb weight gain at about 5 weeks post op. At first I kind of freaked out but I relalized that I really hadn't done anything wrong and that my body is just going through major changes. I have kind of come to the conclusion that as long as I am eating right and getting excercise this body will loose how it wants too. If you haven't started taking measurements I recommened doing so it is an easy way to see the physical changes that are taking place on your body even when the scale isn't moving.

when did you start eating dense protein
I have done chicken, turkey, & fish since post op day 20 but I have been scared with red meat. I have tried a few tiny bites of steak and it has just not felt right. I am 6 weeks out tomorrow and I have done lettuce and spinach just no other raw veggies yet...

Hitting Cardio/Activity "Wall"
It might help to have a Protein shake before or after you work out. As I understand it you can afford to get more protein in if you are doing lots of cardio. I am a big fan of Syntrax nectar because you can mix with Water (yuck milk before or after a workout gross!) and it has zero carbs, fat, and 90 calories per scoop so you won't blow your day. You can order samples from a couple of sites. I recommend the lemonade it is not really tart. Sometimes I also mix some flavors with a crystal light or propel mix in and add to 20 0z of water. Maybe drink some before and some after workout and since it is not milk based you could easily add some ice and leave it on the edge of the court. What Vitamins are you taking? Some swear by B12 or complex b Vitamin for natural energy boost.

Can anyone else relate to any of this?
The red patch on your belly Did you get a Lovenox shot before surgery or after? Are you still on them... That sounds exactly like the reaction I had to the lovenox. The doc said it might not have been the lovenox specifically but the peservative that was in the injection. I stopped using them and used hydrocortizone and they started clearing up.

Traveled for a week, gained 4 lbs
Donna It might not just be the traveling.... I have been home this past week and I gained 2 pounds! I am not sure how it happened because I am eating mostly the same things with a few fruits and veggies. I know we were sleeved a day apart and I had my week 3 stall about the same time you did. I am hoping this will pass soon because I really want to start loosing again!

lettuce???
I am 5 weeks out and I have done both lettuce and spinach. I basically sprinkle a little lettuce on my chicken and add a little dressing. I try to take a bit of either cheese or chicken with a bite of lettuce and it seems to be working.

Constipation
I agree with the miralax it worked for me not immeadetly but within 5 days of taking it everyday mixed in propel I feel better and not so bloated. I am now adding more veggies to my diet and I am hoping that will help prevent me from getting so backed up. I am also doing 2 dried prunes in the evening.

Incisions are getting itchy and glue is coming off
I didn't have stitches either they just glued them shut and put steri-strips on them. At my first post op appointment my doc took off the steri-strips and I was really freaking out because I thought that I would start gushing blood... Don't worry I didn't! If some of the glue comes off I think you will be fine I didn't have any issues and I was only 6 days off when he took off the strips.

Crazy nutritionist advice
My nut said the same thing to me this week because I told her I was kinda concerned I wasn't getting enough calories. I am getting about 600 a day a month post op. I really tried yesterday to get 800 and I felt misrable the whole day. I am just going to keep making health choices and listening to my body. I think that I have enough body fat that I won't starve to death...

Struggle to get in enough protein
I don't have a problem with protein (can supplement with protein drinks) but I am having problems getting enough calories. Nut said I should be at 1200 a day and there is just no way even if I was constantly eating!!!

What are you all drinking?
You are going to get a different answer out of everyone. We all have personal likes and dislikes. I prefer Syntrax nectar the flavors I like are twisted cherry, lemon tea, fuzzy navel, and roadside lemonade.

Will craving junk food stop with sleeve?
I was a snacker. I really don't snack at all anymore unless you count a glass of milk between meals a snack. My clinic has a strict no snacking rule and after surgery I wasn't hungry anyways so I have been able to change that habbit. Some things I did pre-op to get rid of snacking - *I don't carry any cash vendoland can be so tempting about 2:00 * Pack a lunch and leave a healthy option in there if I am absolutely starving. * Don't buy sweets or junk at all nothing tempting in my house I don't like that stuffed feeling either. I portion out my food and then I eat it I don't go back for more bites or try to clean my plate. Many sleevers do the 6 small meals a day because it works better for them I think the key is to just make sure that you are making really healthy choices.

Regrets?
Nope! Understand that the food restrictions you have in the begining are just temporary and that you will get to "try" everything again someday.

Netflix streaming exercise videos!
I have been using these for awhile the "crunch" workouts are kind of fun. My dog keeps looking at me weird but I think he is laughing on the inside!
