sassysuez got a reaction from BKMama in Does Anyone Have The Treadclimber?Yes I have a treadclimber and just started back using it this week. It is a heck of a work out and targets so MANY areas of your body. I started out walking on it the first few days with treadmill put together. Saturday I seperated the treadmill part and worked it out. I am walking on it for 15-18 minutes. It is very hard but I am going to get it mastered.....lol. It always feel like you are going up hill or stairs. It will not beat me. Good luch and if u have any question let me know.

sassysuez reacted to 5DoxieMom in Why Did You Choose The Sleeve?I chose the sleeve because I didn't want re-routing of digestive tract. And, almost all the people I knew who had it have gained their weight back. My surgeon's office talked me out of the crap band, and told me about the sleeve. The lap band needs maintenance and then you have a foreign object in your body. I like the fact that with the sleeve the extra stomach is actually removed, rather than just sitting there, probably still producing all that grehlin. If your surgeon needs more experience, then maybe you should look for one that already has the experience, you don't want him getting his practice on you. Don't be afraid to ask how many sleeves he's done and how many leaks and/or other complications he's had. Good luck.

sassysuez reacted to Rootman in Gum ChewingWell 1 1/2 years out and I chew gum on occasion, I also drink with a straw, drink when I eat, drink diet soda and eat bread on occasion - all so called no-no's. Lost 170 pounds and have kept it off.
I would say that there could not possibly be enough of ANYTHING in gum to effect you any which way, especially sugar free gum.
Remember ALL THINGS IN MODERATION.

sassysuez reacted to Anamor2011 in Chicken Burger Patties 20G Of ProteinI found these Chicken Spinach and Feta cheese burgers at Sam's club that are really good. The brand is Old World Kitchen, I believe they had another flavor too, but can't remember what it was. Anyways they one patty has 20g of protein and only 180 calories. I am able to eat one patty with some tomatoes and lettuce and I am very full with it. Just thought I'd share with you all! Have a grea day!

sassysuez reacted to ellis71 in Sleeved On May 14ThI don't exactly know what full feels like either. And I do the exact same thing. I really just stop when I don't want to drink anymore broth. I usually try and make 12 oz of broth but usually just eat 8. Except this morning. I did get 12 down. It took a while, but I did it.
All I can say is I hope I'm doing it right. Lol

sassysuez reacted to Shani77 in Sleeved On May 14ThGetting in enough fluids is hard for me too. My doc said that I shouldn't worry about it and it will get better. I just get in what I can. I haven't had to throw up since I left the hospital, so I am grateful for that. I am feeling better everyday. I am still tender on my left side, but I guess that is to be expected.

sassysuez reacted to ellis71 in Sleeved On May 14ThAnother May 14th sleever here, too! I'm feeling great! I think all my surgery gas is gone, but some of the air I swallow during the day can get me for sure. I've walked at the park every day since I got home. I walked one mile today and haven't had a single bit of pain. I don't think I'm over doing it because I'm not hurting and my dr said walk walk walk! So I am!! I haven't felt hungry one time, but I haven't felt really full, either. That sometimes scares me, because I'm afraid that maybe my stomach, will be able to handle more foods after I'm healed, and I won't lose. Lol. The PA said I'm over-thinking things. I hope she's right.
I wish all of us luck as we become, first and foremost, healthy. But with a little side of Hot Mamma!!!

sassysuez reacted to shrinkinmama in Sleeved On May 14ThLadies, I am about a month ahead of you and I can relate. It seems so close but so far away. I felt the same way that you do. I took a small waterbottle and held it to my lips all day and just took little tiny sips all day long in bewtten the "food" that I was allowed. You wont get all your water in...it is just impossible but after a week or two you will see the huge difference. It wont hurt like it does now and it will get so much easier. I promise you

sassysuez reacted to Shani77 in Sleeved On May 14ThWow, I was sleeved on the 14th and it was quite an experience. I don't remember anything about going into surgery itself, but I do remember the discomfort. I was in a lot of pain and nauseated, and I must admit I questioned my decision for a split second. Then came day two and I felt much better. My nurses and docs took great care of me and I was finally able to go home today. I'm still a little sore and I have a little bit of gas, but other than that, I can't complain.
