  1. this is the first post ive done since i did the intro one. I have met with the surgeon, and they referred me to the Bariatric center for the required 6 month diet thing my insurance requires (anthem BC/BS of GA) I have met with the dietitian and the meeting with the psychiatrist went well also..blood work done..looks like my cholesterol is high and i'm low in Vitamin D so i am on meds for that. Its really strange b/c i've never been on meds like this before. i'm hoping that after this surgery i will be able to be off them. Does the time go fast? because im so ready to get everything over with its crazy..i'm ready to be on the other side of the fence.
  2. o0o that is one of my goals too i love high heels but can never wear them for any length of time b4 my feet are killing me! another one is boots..i would love to wear some knee length boots but right now i cant b/c nothing goes over my calves so i have to stick to the ankle ones.

  22. i grew up fat..since i was born actually ( i was a 10lb baby) and now i know that i have an addiction..its so much harder when you are addicted to food b/c its something you need and you cant quit it cold turkey..i eat when im bored, when im happy, when im sad etc etc..i have motivation for awhile then something happens and i turn to food..my dad has heart problems, diabetes, sleep apnea the whole deal..plus he is obese..my mother was the same..im to the point where i need the help..and i feel the lapband will be the thing that keeps me on track for living a more healthy life style
  23. Hi everyone. My name is Shelli and i just started on this journey. I went to a seminar just this past Tuesday. I've been thinking about it for awhile and have a friend who has had it done. I'm not 100% sure this is the right path for me BUT I will be making my decision within the week. Yesterday I googled LapBand and found this site and i have to tell you that after reading some of the posts as a guest..everything has been very educational..the more I read about it the more i feel that this is right for me. i hope everyone is having a wonderful day or night (depending on when you are reading this) :-)
