  1. I agree waiting is the hardest part! I have found this site to be very helpful. If I have a question, usually someone has already asked it and it has been answered. It's a great support tool.
  2. I have the same requirements as you. Just clear liquids the day before surgery. I'm going to Dr. Schram at Barix in Ypsilanti, MI.
  3. Thank you for sharing your details. It does help to hear other experiences before the surgery! I am glad you are doing well!
  4. Yeah! Glad you made it through okay and are feeling well.
  5. Imagine that, no fear of a scale anymore! That's great. I hope to get over my fear too shortly....
  6. Awesome. I did my pre-op yesterday and everything turned out well. The only thing that I am waiting on is for the surgeons office to get my paperwork for work. They need to hurry, I don't want to reschedule.
  7. Best of luck, I'm sure you will do great!
  8. That gives me smiles! I'm scheduled for my sleeve Monday. I hope to have as good of results as you.
  9. If I could be added as well, would be happy. I am 8/15.
  10. I'm in Romulus MI. I am scheduled to be sleeved on 8/15.
  11. I have surgery scheduled for 8/15. I do my pre-op testing tomorrow. I am nervous as well but my excitement is overshadowing the nerves at this point. I went to Lake Michigan this weekend and all I could think about was how much better I would FEEL next year when I'm at the beach! I still had a good time and built sandcastles with the kids and hubby but you know how it goes. I'm really looking forward to this!
  12. Prayers for you Skyblew. I'm sure everything will be okay.
  13. I have already noticed that this is a great place for information and support, I am very glad I found it! My doctor didn't mention a drain either or some other things that I have read but I feel very informed by reading everyone elses experiences.
  14. Hello, I have been reading the forums for about a month and finally decided to chime in with my story. I am scheduled for VSG on August 15. I am excited and nervous all in one. I got for my PAT on Monday August 8. I will be happy to get off the diet roller coaster. I'm 36 and have been up and down constantly as long as I can remember. Thank you to all the veterans who have given so much advice. I had first chosen the bypass surgery but after doing more research I switched over to the sleeve. I am very happy with that choice and feel very content with it. I look forward to sharing my journey with everyone.
