Introduction
I agree waiting is the hardest part! I have found this site to be very helpful. If I have a question, usually someone has already asked it and it has been answered. It's a great support tool.

I have the same requirements as you. Just clear liquids the day before surgery. I'm going to Dr. Schram at Barix in Ypsilanti, MI.

New here and surgery scheduled for August 15
Awesome. I did my pre-op yesterday and everything turned out well. The only thing that I am waiting on is for the surgeons office to get my paperwork for work. They need to hurry, I don't want to reschedule.

pre-op sleeve
I have surgery scheduled for 8/15. I do my pre-op testing tomorrow. I am nervous as well but my excitement is overshadowing the nerves at this point. I went to Lake Michigan this weekend and all I could think about was how much better I would FEEL next year when I'm at the beach! I still had a good time and built sandcastles with the kids and hubby but you know how it goes. I'm really looking forward to this!

New here and surgery scheduled for August 15
I have already noticed that this is a great place for information and support, I am very glad I found it! My doctor didn't mention a drain either or some other things that I have read but I feel very informed by reading everyone elses experiences.

New here and surgery scheduled for August 15
Hello, I have been reading the forums for about a month and finally decided to chime in with my story. I am scheduled for VSG on August 15. I am excited and nervous all in one. I got for my PAT on Monday August 8. I will be happy to get off the diet roller coaster. I'm 36 and have been up and down constantly as long as I can remember. Thank you to all the veterans who have given so much advice. I had first chosen the bypass surgery but after doing more research I switched over to the sleeve. I am very happy with that choice and feel very content with it. I look forward to sharing my journey with everyone.
