  1. My Doctor billed the insurence $40,000 and the hospital billed about 30,000. I had my surgery at Baylor at Trophy Club and it is also a surgery center not a hospital. I've only seen my Doctor twice. Once for the intial Consultation 6 months ago and once right before my surgery. This is pretty standard I think for these types of Doctors. All of my follow ups will be with the PA. I am okay with this, As long as I don't have any complications. I'm good with not seeing him again.
  2. My Doctor had me switch to regular Effexor instead of the extended release. I take 150 and 37.5 daily. So I ended up taking my meds the night before my surgery. The day of my surgery I could not take anything. After my surgery I could not take anything until the next morning after my leak test. So the next day I was able to take my meds again. The reason I switched to regular Effexor was so that I could crush them after surgery. I am only 4 weeks out and I still have to crush them. I don't remember if I had any side effects from not taking them the day of surgery. My mouth was so dry after surgery that all I could think about was when I could drink some water.
  3. I just had mine removed this morning. They were done before i even realized she had started taking them out.
  4. Hi Everyone, I am 6 days post Op tomorrow and I'm still having gas pains. I'm not in horrible pain, but it is annoying. I'm taking Gas X although I could not find the Gas X strips. Does anyone know how long this will last?
  5. Thanks, my Dr. says I have to take pills that are either chewable, or i have to crush them. I did find some chewable Generic Acid reducers at walmart. So hopefully this will help.
  6. Does anyone know if Tomato soup is okay. I'm still on week one, so i don't know if i can have it this week or wait until further along
  7. Which Acid Reducers did your doctor recommend. My Dr. said that I should take either Previcid or Prilosic. However they only come in capsules over the counter and I am supposed only have either liquids or tablets I can crush. Any suggestions.
  8. I forgot, they did say to take a acid reducer. Maybe I will try that
  9. Hi everyone, I had my sleeve done on Monday and I am starving. I've started on the Protein shakes and drinking Water, Crystal light. But i can't seem to fill full. I am hoping this will pass with time. I thought i would not have that hunger feeling after the surgery. Any ideas and how to fill full.
