I found it so hard to quit. I quit on June the 17th. I was so frustrated and really felt like I could not do it. I started riding my bike and would ride it every time I wanted to smoke. I smoked for 15 years. I just took it one day at a time. So maybe you can find something to do to take your mind off of it. I am so happy now that I have quit. I wish you luck with it. You can do it just have confidence in yourself. Hope this helps.

Hello everyone. I am so excited. I get banded on Friday Sept. 2. It seems like it has taken a long time to get here. I am nervious about how I will feel after the surgery. I would like to wish everyone luck. Here's to thinner and more healthy Sept. bandsters.

Thanks everyone for your words of wisdom. My doctor assures me that the preopt diet is not nessary. I guess it just depends on your doctor. Well surgery is in two days and I am excited and scared all at the same time. I am afraid that I will do something wrong. I think that I will just have to take it one day at a time. I have read that it is to get your body ready also. My doctor assures me that it does not really make a difference. I trust him. I wish you luck with everything.

Hello everyone. I am getting my band on Sept. 2nd. I was told that I did not have a pre-op diet. I have noticed that a lot of people do. Is this normal and has anyone gotten banded without a pre-op diet. I am really excited and nervious because it is so close. I did not think that it would happen so fast. I was orignally given that date of Sept 12 or the 26 depending on insurance approval, but I got the call that I was approved and my date was the 2nd. Any advice would be appreciated because I am nervious. Also I was wondering is there anyone that is getting banded this month that live in Las Vegas, NV. Thanks ahead of time for the advice.

Congrats on your approval. I got the call yesterday that I was approved through my insurance. I am so excited. I wanted to yell from the roof tops. I am having my surgery on Sept. 12. I would like to wish you luck on your journey. We can do this. Michelle
