  1. Surgery date was Sept 1 2011.. highest weight was 285. Day of surgery I was approx 270... as of today down to 204 (and have been here for the past 3 weeks :/) . Nonetheless proud of my progress so far... Was wearing women size 20 waist.. now wearing a size 11. My weight is carried in my boobs and stomach. Legs have always been small... body is just catching up LOL. I will say ive YET to exercise... I really do eat what i want, when I want. However I do recognize im in the critcal part of my post op... the part where I need to do something (eat better, exercise), in order to keep the scale moving... *edit: forgot to add the pic initially LOL*
  2. Well since u put it like that.... lol But yea I know it's bound to come off.. Anytime u drop a significant amount of calories creating a calorie deficit, it WiLL come off ... Surgery or no surgery... My typical day used to be : Breakfast - 2 sausages and 3 scrambled eggs from mcdonalds lunch - 2 jr bacon cheeseburgers, 5 pc nugget and fries from Wendy's dinner - 12 piece nugget, large fries and a large sweet tea. EASILY more than 3500 calories per day.. Now im maxing 500 a day
  3. Likewise.. especially so early out. But we'll get there..one day lol. As long as the scale is moving downwards when it DOES move, im grateful. LOL
  4. Im in the same boat as you...sleeved on sept 1st and only down about 27-28 pounds.. was losing about a pound a day steady for a few weeks...now it seems its slowed greatly... i really hope I havent hit a stall. Either way it can be kind of discouraging..knowing you're eating well under a certain amount and drinking plenty of water..yet nothing is moving on the scale. I stay 'lifted' by my clothes though.. putting them on and feeling how loose they are.. that keeps me smiling
  5. SN..............Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal JaiMarie...........263lb................242lb..........200lb..........42bs Good luck to everyone I hope to meet this goal by the end of next month, then I'll be ready to set another goal
  6. I've also had no complications/problems since my surgery (sept 1, 2011). I was off pain meds maybe the 3rd or 4th day after surgery. I can drink regular with np. Im not supposed to move onto mushies until Oct 1st tho..but ive had a few teaspoons of Beans.. also a small chunck of grilled chicken (one of the chunks youd find in a salad) and i've had zero problems with any of it. My gf however wants me to still wait until my noted dates to advance to regular foods (although I told her im fine). But yea..no complications here.
  7. I weighed myself 8 days out and was 15lbs down.. weighed myself again yesterday (11 days out) and was another 5.6 lbs down. I was on ensures high protein 'shake' last week (25g protein per 14oz bottle).. Now im on this Myoplex that has 42g protein per 17oz bottle. I've advanced really really quickly..was off my pain meds about 4 days out. I'll try to get half a bottle of Isopure in on days but the taste is unbearable (which is why I went to ensure/myoplex). I wont lie tho today at lunch (about 2.5 hrs ago) I had about 4 teaspoons of refried Beans (satisified my craving for sum food) and I am still stuffed (not uncomfortable or in pain..just satisfied). I've emailed my dr office asking ..moreso requesting that I be advanced to mushies since im doing so well LOL...no response yet.
  8. Im down to 245 and wearing a 14 now... crazy how everyones pants size varies per person when they're the same weight (give or take a few pounds). When I was 263 2 weeks ago I was wearing a size18. I've noticed in the past (for me personally).. every 10-12 pounds dropped I go down a pants size. My gf however, it takes her about 20 pounds to drop a size. weird
  9. Hi all... I was sleeved Sept 1st so im 12 days out. Around the 6th/7th I noticed I was able to drink way more than the 8oz per hr and regular 'sips' (not gulps tho).. Im able to get about 16oz of water in per hr.. as far as my myoplex protein shake, it still takes me about most the day to get in the 17oz (most likely because the protein makes me full). Also I never vomited once since I've had my surgery... was just concerned that Im able to drink 'a lot' ..is this normal?

  13. Your surgery is 2 days away. Good luck!
  14. had my surgery on sept 1st (yep 4 days ago)... now awaiting a date for my gf Ericka Monae (who's also a member of the site). Cant wait to begin this healthy journey together.
  15. ..and I must say I'm doing pretty well. Surgery was Thursday morning at a facility in Glendale (however my surgeon is based out of cedar-sinai) the hours right after surgery and up until yesterday were very painful. Nothing the pain meds couldnt control though. I havent vomited once which I think is pretty good... it has however been a struggle to get my needed liquids in ... i just get so full quickly. Today I feel really well and almost no pain (just the uncomfort of my drain which will be removed Tuesday). I'll be lucky to get half a bottle of my isopure in today..
