  1. My post op diet instructions were to try to get in 70gm Protein (using protein shakes) and 64 ounces of Fluid a day using full liquid diet. I'm on post op day 5 and will be on this diet until my post op appt at 2 weeks post op. I was not told to count calories at this point. Hope this helps, Wanda
  2. I'm just about done with my two week preop diet regime of two Bariatric Advantage Protein Meal Supplement shakes and one "sensible" meal per day. I don't mind the flavor of the shake; I ususally mix it with crystal light lemonade or add cinammon with the powder. I blend them with ice to make a cool, frothy and filling shake. Only issue is GI upset since the first day of the shakes. After a week of running to the bathroom, I got some Immodium and things seem to havve slowed down. Anyone else have this experience from the Protein Shakes? Wanda
  3. It's 2:45 am in my part of the world, I should be sleping. Instead I'm here learning the ins and outs of this website and desparetly seeking support for next week's lapband surgery. I started this jouney last August when I spoke with my doctor about surgical options for weight loss. He asked me if I was "really serious", I said "yes", He said "it will change your life forever". I thought "Good that's what I'm looking for". Since then I have jumped through all the hoops for my insurance company, had all my preop visits, including my surgeon's April consultation visit and June pre-op visit. I'm 2/3 through my preop liquid proten diet. I was hungry the first day, but doing ok since. Ok, I'm starting to get drowsy. I'm off to bed soon. Thanks for listening. Wanda
