Hey Lissa, Okay sorry for not being descriptive but it's like a tightness, and I still can't sleep on my left side when before I could sleep on it. But the pain is on the right side of my stomach near the biggest incision. It hurts when I stretch a certain way and maybe when I bend but only on that side. Is this normal? I am assuming that a hernia would hurt way more and they checked for one prior but maybe I developed one from not taking it too easy? Thanks, L

Hello! I was sleeved 11/4.... everything is going rather smooth except sometimes when I eat soft foods, which I just started I get back pain? Does anybody else experience this? Normally I just stop eating or drinking but is it normal? Also, I went back to work after 2 weeks... I work about 11hr days and I feel like the right side of my stomach is hurting more than usual. Its not a sharp pain but more of like a tightness. Did I over-do it? Before I could sleep on my side and now it hurts more .....theories? Thanks! L

The symptoms are burning feeling in the stomach, bloating 24-7, sharp pains in the stomach.... I'm sure there are others. A lot of people have H Pylori without even knowing they do, the statistics are high with 3 out of 4 people having the bacteria. Thank you everyone! Yea, these pills are horrible... I swear I have every one of the symptoms from taking them... dizzy, diarrhea, nauseated, horrible taste in my mouth!! Ugh I wish I caught this prior to my surgery! Well, I will definitely lose more weight cause i'm hardly eating! The positive of it. I have to do the same thing .... 8 pills a day for 14you days! Hey VSG folks, so I'm 14 days post-op and just started the antibiotics for H Pylori! Anyone else have it? I am on my second day only and it's making my stomach hurt!! Ugh and those pills are HUGE! They make me feel as if I'm choking. Any tips on taking the pills or H Pylori on a whole? I feel like I'm going to loose even more weight cause it hurts to eat today! Thanks, L

OMG! I just had some egg drop Soup, it was so good and settled in my stomach so well. It's super tasty! Anybody have any puree soup recipes? On another note, I had my 1 week follow-up after my surgery and the Dr informed me that I had h-pylori..... anybody else out there have that? I start taking antibiotics tomorrow... I hope it works!! AWESOME! thanks for the input. Yea, I know about the Gatorade and tea, although while I was still in the hospital I asked one of the Dr, what would happen if I don't get all that water down and he said if I had at least 2 32 ounces of Gatorade, I would be okay because of the electrolytes.....but he told me to get in the water. lol My dietitian though, said at this point both are important, water and protein. Can't wait till I get to the puree phase so i can blend up some soups! LOL

Hello everyone! Okay, I have a question... I am on Protein shakes for 2 weeks then puree foods then soft then normal...all time lines are two weeks. My question is what's everyone eating in these days after your surgery? I am 4 days out and I am drinking about 2.5-3 shakes a day plus some Gatorade and maybe some broth, very little about 4 ounces. Is this normal or should I be doing something else, I know I need to drink more Water.... Thanks for y'all help vsg group! L

Did you speak to your Dr about the problem? I'm 3 days out and I seem to have diarrhea, I think maybe it's still just trapped gas from the surgery... just curious! wishing you well! L

Helli fellow sleevers! I did it now i'm on the post-op side! Yeah! I'm doing really good except for the gurgling gas noises in my stomach! Lol I am 2 days post-op and I feel pretty good! Dr said I prepared well and he said all my organs looked nice etc! How about everyone else? My nov 2nd sleevers where ya at?? Lol

Hello! Everyone is different but I think you have a better advantage then someone older than you and also your skin has a better chance of boucing back to normal because of the elasticity! Be safe, take care!! :coolgleamA: L

Hey sleeve buddies... so I'm scheduled for my surgery tomorrow and I was super excited, it was supposed to be at 7am but now they postponed the time to 2:45pm!! BOOO!! No drinking not even Water 8 hours prior to the surgery. I have to say I was so set on the morning surgery that it really bummed me out. I guess this is the way it was supposed to happen! Anybody else go through this?? thanks, L

Yea, my Dr said the same thing...this diet is for the liver!
