Today is my first day of the pre-op diet as well. I on the other hand am on the complete opposite side of the scale. I ate so much in the last two weeks I welcomed this liquid diet. I had a GREAT day!! I love the Sobe lifewater and V8!! The V8 filled me right up when I got hungry. Good luck! Today is the last day you will weigh what you weigh. And soon your NEW life will begin!

Woo-hoo!! My surgery is just around the corner!! This time next Monday I will begin my pre-op diet and then 2 weeks later I will begin a new life!! I am so excited!! December 19th is my new Lifedate! Who is as excited as me??

Hey hey hey!! Just had my PRE-OP visit and got my pre-op diet! I had to get it in early because I will be on the road. I'm 28 days from my new life!! Well...14! All smiles I might add!! December 19th!! Woo-hooo!

Im so excited. One of my BFF's got her date. December 26th. I'm December 19th so we will be going through this together! She is having the sleeve but still we are doing WLS together. We are so excited. I picked up my liquid tylenol and fiber gummies today. A few more items and I am all set! Hurry up December. And btw...Skinnyminnieme...the protein drink was FAB!! Designer Whey Lemonade Protein 2go drink mix. 50 calories, 10 grams of Protein. 1g sugar

What am I doing during the wait...trying to eat like I already have the band. Protein shakes, greek yogurt, string cheese...working on the mind...the body is ready but my mind is still acting like a fatty!! Relax...time will fly by!! The fatty has on two occassion this week ordered way too much food!

LOL! Congratulations!! I named my band too! Roscoe comes on December 19th!! YOO-HOO!!

@skinnyminnnime YAY!! We will have the same birthday!! I'm sooooo excited! Just 49 days away. My sister did great! She lost 90 lbs but went through a divorce and had all taken out of her band and gained back 40 of it. She knows what she did wrong and is going to begin again when I do. She is doing the liquid diet with me and everything. I am so excited we get to do this together. All three of us! I keep going to GNC and Vitamin Shop and buying stuff. Today I found Designerwhey protein water additive. It's got 10g or protein and you just add it to your water. Also I bought another shaker cup. This one has a cool stick that goes in it so it will keep your drink cool without ice. I am so ready to do this. I am starting tomorrow 11/1/11 on my own program just because I am so ready! 2012 LOOK OUT!!! I'm doing this for ME!!

Hey Aria3 and Desert Rat!! I so wanted that date but my doctor, our doctor will be in NM doing you!! I live in the DFW area and had that date in my head for months. That's when I wanted my anniversary but by the time the insuarance company got around to approving me I was told Dr. Smith will be out of town that date. LOL! How funny is it that I ran across you two on this site. Well, I'm happy for you two. You got a great date and a great doctor. Please keep in touch and let me know how you are doing as I will have Dr. Smith do me on 12/19.

Who cares what the co-workers think? Get used to it. Because as soon as you start dropping the weight they are going to talk about you anyway!! I too am not telling anyone. I chose December to take advantage of the holiday time off.

Well HELLO December Bansters!!! I started the November Banster as I thought my insurance would be approved in "3 days" like others but for some reason I had to wait the FULL 30 days so December it is!!! I believe nothing just happens so December 19th will be the first day of the rest of my life! I am so looking forward to a new life! My sister got the band 5 years ago and I was so against it. I said and DID lose the weight on my own. Diet and exercise....well in that 5 years I've lost over 50 lbs twice and gained it back. So, I'm getting the band. Wish I had done this 5 years ago. smh Good luck to my fellow December bansters!!

Thanks Hopethrufaith! Yes, I have to roll over to December because I am sheduled to travel on the date they have available. But I'm considering it my Christmas present to myself! I'm so excited! December 19th cant come fast enough.

Hi all! I finally got my call today!! YAY!! But it looks like I need to roll on over to the December Bansters. I wont be able to get in until December! So good luck to all going before me! I'm excited for my new life!

Ive been told 4 different things to date. I give up! Im just going to forget about it until the letter shows up in my mailbox. I'm still hoping to get this done in November but very deflated!

Thanks everyone!! Your words of encouragement are so appreciated today. I have been an emotional wreck today! I have a small window to get this done as I am a road warrior. I have taken two weeks off work to have the surgery and recover and if I cant get the date I want I could be on the road immediately after surgery. Not what I want to do. I want to recover in my own bed at my house with friends and family around to support.

Thanks Skinnygirlatheart. I'm on that same path. I was hoping it would be sooner but this is the beginning of week 4. Fingers and toes are crossed that I get it this week.

If you have Cigna Insurance. How long did it take you to get your approval letter?

Hi all! I just need to vent to someone that understands!! I am so frustrated with Cigna. My paperwork has been in since August 27th. They say they have 30 days to approve or deny. Everytime I call they say its in "pending" status. How long does it take? I'm sure you all have had to wait but is it just me or are they just being mean to me?? I've read on this site that people get approved in like 3 days. Or they call and they get approved over the phone. Why or why can't that happen to me?? I need all the praying banders to pray! Thanks!!

Thatchick...you flew 12 hours after being banded? How was it? Did it tighten up on you? How did you feel?
