  5. The lap band is a tool as others have stated. I love my band and would do it again. I was 264 pounds in August 2010 and now I am 198 in June 2011. My goal is 175. You must be willing to take control of what you eat. You must excercise and you must drink your water. it helps to have a partner that will support you. My boyfriend is awesome and supports me in all I do.
