  1. Hello all, My surgery date was January 6, and I am down 53 lbs. I can fit into some size 8 pants, but mostly 10s, and I am wearing a SMALL top! That makes me so happy. I still can't believe this is where I am. The weight loss has definitely slowed down but it is still coming off and that's what counts! Like someone else mentioned, I think it is interesting that we are all basically at the same amount lost after 5 months.
  2. Hi all! My name is Kay and I am excited to join this group! My surgery date was January 6, 2011. In 5 months I have lost 53 lbs, with 28 left to go! You are right, the closer to goal, the slower the weight seems to come off. But it is still coming off, so that is a good thing. Just this past week, I went shopping for a few new clothes. I can wear mostly a 10 in pants, but I found a couple of 8s that fit. I am wearing a small in tops. A SMALL!! Never in my life did I think I could wear a small. There's only one size left after that, an extra small. Wow. I love my sleeve and I know it was the best thing I ever did for myself!
  3. Hi, just thought I'd add my experience with the Mirena. I had mine put in in July and I love it. The only side effect I have had is acne along my jawline which is really irritating. I was previously on the pill and didn't have that issue. Otherwise, I never think about it. Periods were very light but I am just 4 weeks out from surgery so now they are a little whacked out but i know they will return to normal soon. Hope this helps just a little bit...
  4. Could I get one as well? Thanks so much! kay.coleman@sourcenetsolutions.com
  5. I just wanted to say hello and finally post something. I have been reading this board for awhile but have never posted anything. I wanted to tell everyone that this board has been soooo helpful in answering all of my questions and helping me understand everything! I was sleeved January 6 by Dr. John Mason here in Texas, so it's been 2 whole weeks and I am feeling great! Thanks again to all!!
  6. Hi, I've been a member for a while but this is my first time posting. I was sleeved 2 weeks ago. I was just wondering if anyone knows how many pounds it takes to go down a size, or is this dependent on your height? I currently wear a size 18 and I am 5' 2" and my pants are getting loose, but I have not lost enough to be in a 16. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
