  1. I am 12 weeks post-op today and I am not losing! I can't eat that much food, I exercise 3-4 times a week, I TRY to drink 64 oz of water. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have lost only 26lbs since my surgery(46 total sice pre-op diet). Maybe I am expecting too much too soon. I don't want to feel that I wasted my money (self pay), and I know that it just takes time, but I just feel discouraged! Maybe I am eating the wrong foods....What are the right foods??? Any encouragement or advice would be aprreciated!:help: :think
  2. I am wondering what kind of foods are ok for me to eat. I don't mean if they will get stuck of cause me to gag. I mean what kind of foods are good food choices. For instance...Is yogurt ok, is tuna ok, for a little something sweet is 100 calorie packs ok? This is just some of the things I enjoy that don't bother me. Any advice on this or other foods that I can eat would be greatly appreciated. Since I can't eat that much food, I want to be sure that I am eating things that are good for me. Thanks!

I live in North West Mississppi

Hey to all Mississippians! I was banded by Dr. Byars in Oxford, Ms on Jan 25th. I swear it is the very best thing I have ever done! This was my 30th birthday present to myself. I have lost 32 lbs and have lots more to go, but I know that this is the tool that will help me get there! I have not had any problems and now I am just waiting to get my first fill. Good luck to all of you! And if any of you live in the Oxord area, let me know!
  5. Girl, I know exactly how you feel! I have such a stuggle over the years and now I know that I am doing the right thing! I am getting banded on Thursday and I can't wait. The pre-op diet has been hard but, I know it is all worth it and will eventually get better. GOOD LUCK to you!!!!

  7. Hi Everyone! I joined the forum just today and am so excited to say that I am scheduled for LapBand Surgery this Thursday!! I could not be happier with the choice that I have made. I am 29 years old and will be 30 in March. What better birthday present could I give myself, right?! I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 2 years. He is in Law School and I work for a bank in Oxford, MS. We have 2 four legged babies, Chester and Max. We had looked into the Lapband well over a year ago and it took me till November 2006 to fully decide to make this life change. I hope to talk to as many people and learn even more than I already have about this procedure. I would really like to talk to people that live in or close to MS and are around my age. I makes you feel better to know that you have PEERS that have dealt with constant challenges with your weight and are going through what you are going through. Thank all in advance for any support you can give. Keyla Spinks:) :)
